When the Liquor store opened two blocks from my home I was upset. I remember calling the village hall to see if it was legal to have a liquor store two blocks from a school. They told me its a general store. I said "Ahhhh....did you see the signs in the window". I am sure they just wanted to shut me up. I don't think its right to have a liquor store where some its customers are frankly "bad news". Oh I know people, good people who go there, but I am close enough to see the bad too. So, It doesn't surprise me to hear this happened. It could happen at any Liquor store. But to know last night there were two murderers running in my neighborhood really upsets me. I grew up in Chicago....I came to Brookfield to raise a family 30 years ago...to get away from that sort of life. I am sorry for the family of Bashar Fahouri. I hope these guys get caught. We have enough bars and liquor stores in Brookfield....Lets stop setting us up for the worst.
