So do you grow your own cotton and raise sheep too?? How does the food get to the local store that you ride your bike to? Did you also build your own bike from recycled materials too? LOL. Just wondering.
No you missed the part where I get my materials to make my clothing from the sheep farmer, my food from the local farmer's farm, and metal for my bike from a local producer.

Dirk, that sure is a funny name. It's has a trashy ring to it like Bo or Briar. Alot of truck drivers do come from many background. Alot of women and blacks are driving trucks now, which was unheard of at one time.
It always amazed me the lack of respect alot of people have on here for blue collar workers of all professions. All stereotype. The best part is people like Dirk on here are lucky to even get that manager trainee job at Taco Bell.

FAIL, I get my food locally, ride my bike to work, knit my own clothes, and built my own computer from recycled parts.

What do you live in, the open air? Granted, you fall outside the norm, but you aren't 100% removed from having your life affected by truck drivers. Also can't imagine knitted underwear but, hey, to each his own.

Yes, but the difference is if someone screws up in my job, someone's computer won't boot up. If someone screws up in your profession, a mother of two becomes roadkill. Your driving a multi-multi-ton wrecking ball; there need to be high standards. Plus, this wasn't a guy screwing up, this was a guy who make the conscious decision to watch porn while driving his semi. That porn didn't accidentally just start streaming on his pc.

No, it didn't. I pick this stuff up myself from it's point of origin
- Food from Farmer
- Wool from farmer
- bike from fabricated metal producer
- computer from local computer producer who only buys small orders from small manufacturers
Did the farmer grow his own seed & not use fertilizer? Did the farmer pull the wool off the sheep with his bare hands? Did the metal producer dig the ore out of the ground with his bare hands & smelt it with a hand cast candle? Even the local computer guy had to get his parts from somewhere & they probably weren't delivered by pony express. Common Dirk, even your points of origin have points of origin.

Yet another example of trashy truck drivers killing innocent car drivers. Why are these people driving huge crushing vehicles on the same roads as everyone else again? Put that freight on a train and the engineer can watch all the porn he wants.
With THAT response we all see that your self-glossed name, "Generation Dumb and Lazy" FITS your thinking process as well. Let me guess, you saw a commercial touting train fuel efficiency with a lot of truck trailors on board, piggy-back style, and, as you took another toke, you said, "yeah, that makes sense, dude" And the motive towards that thought process of trains over trucks, was the fraud science of man caused globull whining, coupled with you FEELING good about fuel savings which is maybe the only thing you get right-(the fuel savings not the Glowbull Whining)

You are a complete idiot! Not all truck drivers are "trashy" and more accidents involving trucks are caused by the 4 wheeler.. know what you're talking about before you open you uneducated mouth. Good luck with that train getting all the goods and services where they need to be.. last time i checked there aren't railroad tracks next to every single store and business in the US, and by the way did you not hear about the train accident caused when the engineer was texting his son.. so yeah driving a train requires that the driver pay attention as well. Again unless you have a clue maybe you should just keep your mouth shut
