I just read about the Police Officer that shot a Pit Bull. So what happens to the Officer? Is he on admin leave or will he have to pay vet bills as well? What makes it right for a Police Officer to shoot a dog and it's ok, but if a Citizen shoots one for atacking their home such as your incident, then it's not ok? Yep, you are right. You make a convincing case. I hear story after story in the news about how packs of yellow labs run loose and maul people and kill other dogs and children. And then there are those golden retreivers. They're even worse. I've even heard about overly aggresive licking. Damn near tore the face off.

It's not the dogs that are bad, just the moronic psycho owners. Now rereading your enlghtened post, I don't suppose you fit into that category.

Following your thoughts, maybe the owner should be euthanized. I bet we see fewer pit bull attacks.

I saw a license plate frame that said it all. "Attack the Greed, Not the Breed". Yes, some pit bulls can be feroucious, they were trained that way - trained to fight for their lives - literally! Then there are others, like the one who found me and I rescued, who I truly believe must have been used a "bait" dog. Not a bad bone in his body (well, except for when he chews up the stuffed animals and shoes). All dog breeds have dogs that turn out "good" or "bad", it's not limited to pit bulls. It's all on how they are raised and if they are shown love.

Come on, PR Ignorant, you know that many pit bulls are raised as aggressive dogs, that they are very protective, that they have tremendous jaw strength ... Yes, a lab or any animal can exhibit aggressive behavior that is out of character, but it does not seem to be out of character for pit bulls, however they got that way. I would think that the statistics would bear out far more serious pit bull attacks per dog than labs.

In any case, even the aggressive style of your writing suggests that people who raise or favor these animals have difficulty recognizing the consequences of their conduct and likely gravitate to these creatures because of their nature.

And what was your face doing down by the lab anyway? Did you drop your beer? Or did you really think it wanted to rub noses?

The point is, isn't it ironic that usually these deaths whether it be by dogs or by humans usually start at the hands of humans.
Humans are the ones who bred these dogs to be what they are today, humans are the ones to destroy the lives of innocent children by abuse, neglect, etc. Humans and their ignorance is what causes much of the destruction on earth itself.

Certainly some breeds are more protective or territorial or aggressive than others. And certainly there are anomolies in all breeds, regardless how docile generally. Also consider the popularity of breeds. Maybe pit bulls are statistically more popular than say, St. Bernards, so the incidence of bites is greater.

And yes, because of the physical construction of pit bulls, people breed and train them for aggressivenes. So the dogs' ability to inflict damage is elevated by human intervention. Guns don't go off by themselves.

yah! there is more pitt atackes then any other atack done by any lab or any other dog but only because thats how they a born , but don't get me wrong there are some very good dogs out there like my gottiline pit 'buddy' he is a huge dog but wouldn't hurt a fly i guess it does all depends on the owner , what there used 4

Its not the breed. Its the owner. Chihuahuas are much much meaner by nature. The "street name" for pits is "nanny dogs" because they were originally bred to babysit children. They are much sweeter and trustworthy around kids than chihuahuas too.

What is my problem?
How did I attack people and be ignorant?
I made a video to show how the breed is attacked, that's all.
Did you see any thugs in that video?
Did they look vicious to you?
All I'm trying to do is fix most people's ignorance, my dog is under control and would never hurt any one.

is a mess with herself.
You should google that name and see what you come up with.
Some of the attacks she has listed on her site were later verified to have been made by other breeds than the PitBull, but she NEVER ONCE has tried to clarify that or even change the info on her site.
You should get YOUR head out of the sand.
Let me give you some info as a person that has had much experience with the breed, and you having none and only going by what you have "heard" like so many other poeple..
If there are over 1 million Pit Bulls in America, and (just saying a number here) 50 Pit Bull attacks in a year~ in regards to the high numbers of Pit Bull's~ that is a VERY LOW number of attacks! Especially considering how this breed is often owned by irresponsible owners.
But all of the Pit haters out there are still going to try to make a way to make it look like that is a high number and they are the breed involoved in the most attacks.
When that couldnt be further from the truth.

Atleast there are people out there that can resist the ignorance, and know what great dog's Pit Bull's are.
You see, I just showed you a video of how sweet family Pits are, and that they are not born killers, but you still have that mindset that people have heard so long.

By the way, since you seem to know so much, my family has owned pitbulls, bulldogs, game terriers, hunting hounds, field trial retrievers, bird dogs, airedales, german shepherds, chows, boxers, mutts, etc. I have been involved in performance dog competitions, hunting, rescue, and around law enforcement k-9 units (malinois, czech gsds, bloodhounds, labradors, the typical and most widely used breeds by the military and law enforcement)as well as research on rare breeds. Again, I stand by my statement that you are a cheerleader, and only interested in one breed. Rather than admit there's a problem with poorly bred pitbulls and them being popular with lowlife and ignorant dog ownders, you type in large print, and say well my dog is an angel. If I was a boerboel or cane corso breeder and these breeds had your problems, I believe I would be concerened rather than make excuses. You have a dog in the apbt that is cheap, readily available, and has a superhero comic book image as being able to whip lions and bears as portrayed by known dogfighters like bill stewart, richard stratton, etc so of course every thug redneck lowlife wants one. did I say yours was bad, NO! i know a apbt (abda/ukc reg'd) from a staff bull, bull terrier, canary dog, bullmastiff, rhodesian ridgeback, black lab, etc) and know that the am staff terrier is the show line akc bred pitbull. again your dog is cheap to own, a kangal, alabai, caucasian octcharka, cane corso, presa canario, boerboel, tosa, bully kutta is not and very rare and hard to find. again, how many staff bull terriers or amstaffs to see you see running loose in neighborhoods? but you can find a pitbull in every trailer park around. AGAIN. I'm not for BSL so not sure why you keep squaking about that, and I'm sure your dogs would never hurt a flea, and I know that there are good apbt owners out there.
