So he's retiring. Good riddance. He should trade places with Ward and Fontenot.

Yes ain't great, now if we could get the rest out of the corruption out of the legal system, this might be a good little place to live. Some one might have a chance. instead of them sneaking in your car while your eating to plant something, going in your house when the owner has been sent to jail and planting stuff to come and high five everyone and say look what I found!!! Just because they don't like some one they do this and then throw 30 years on them!!! Now how fair is that. THEN THESE GUYS THAT SPEND ALL THIS TIME IN PRISON- WILLIAMS, FRITZ, WARD AND FONTENOT. OH MY GOSH, DON'T LIKE ME FALL A SLEEP AND DREAM. AFTER 12 YEARS 2 OF THEM ARE TOTALLY INNOCENT.. SOME ONE IS GOING TO FIND OUT HOW CORRUPT THE SYSTEM IS !! I PRAY THAT DAY

yes Ada, has been this way for along time" Ada finest" most are corrupt. Jeff C. likes to tamper with evidence, after he arrest you he has went into their house, without a warrant.Even two OHP beat the crap out of this guy by Staples, both just whaling the crap out of him, with their flashlights It was very cold, he didn't have on a coat, there was blood every where, he was trying to cover his self where they were hitting. A minute there, he didn't budge. Don't give me this well if he wasn't doing anything then they wouldn't of stopped him. In Ada the police from hell don't have to have a reason. They make up stuff and then lie about it!! C. Ross is any better he is just like them. He gave a guy 30 years, he did get into trouble, you would of thought he murdered someone, but NO, it was because he don't like this guy. Maggot City is all this legal system is!!

DA Bill Peterson isn't retiring. He just knows he can't work anymore. He is not credible and his scheme has all be exposed. I feel so badly for those lives he has tortured and ruined. Yet, he is going to sue to try and ruin more lives? Don't you feel bad enough? Guess not...not one ounce of remorse in you....is there? Give it up. Why you have been elected as long as you have one will never know...but outsiders will always speculate if you didn't have something to do with that too.

When is re-elction for D.A for Pontotoc county?

By now Peterson should be retired --- I don't see why some one around
Ada doesn't give him a close encounter with a cattle prod. He is really a piece of work!!!! How has he stayed in office??? Maybe the people there deserve what they get?!?! So he is suing a lot of people---- well it is a shame he can't sue Ron Williamson isn't it?!?!?! He is getting on in age, at least we can look forward to when he goes to hell and we can all sing " Ding dong the witch is dead!" |

Bill P. has retired!!!!!!!Yes he is trying to sue Dennis Frtiz & John Grissom for the same thing he done to Dennis & Ron.

After reading both THE INNOCENT MAN and JOURNEY TOWARD JUSTICE, I am outraged that this arrogant and pompous IDIOT of a "District Attorney" is suing the people who exposed his dirty deeds for "emotional distress." Funny how he couldn't care less for the very real emotional and psychological distress he inflicted on Ron Williamson, Dennis Fritz and their families. Yet he expects -- and probably demands -- sympathy for HIS troubles now that he has been exposed as a fraud? Peterson of OK and Nifong of North Carolina are two peas in a pod when it comes to dishonest and unethical prosecutors, who should have known better. They lied to get a "win" and have disgraced their office, giving all HONEST and ethical prosecutors a very bad name. I have no sympathy for either one of them, they brought all their troubles on themselves. I wish Mr. Fritz the best of luck in defending against this ludicrous and frivolous lawsuit, which any responsible judge should throw OUT. |

THATS ADA SYSTEM FOR YOU!!!

Sorry to hear that. I don't know if Peterson has to be re-elected or not, but if he does have to win re-election each time, why does the majority always elect someone who thinks bending and twisting the rules of law to "win" a case is acceptable? I realize that people tend to elect a D.A. who promises to "keep them safe," and has a list of "get tough on crime" promises to get them into office. But when a D.A. gets corrupted by so much power, who protects the CITIZENS from the D.A.? Who is safe then? |

peterson has retired, well quit about 2months ago. You ask a good question! The one took his place isn't any better. Just a shorter fatter version

I'm sorry to hear that too, about Peterson's replacement not being any better, that is. As for Peterson, I guess he'll have more time on his hands now. And I'm still hoping his suit against Dennis Fritz and the Innocence Project lawyers will be dismissed. :-)

I don't think it could go anywhere, he would have so much flak about taking money when he ruined 2 mens life. Help put one in his grave. All of his convictions since that date should all be checked into. The system here plays a hate for some people that they will do anything to get them put away. This town has is wondering "Who Let The Dogs Out"

Exactly; I think anyone who was convicted as a result of Peterson's prosecuting the case should be contacting their lawyers and filing for appeals. Who knows how many others may have been railroaded by Peterson's dirty prosecutorial tricks. What surprises me is that more honest and ethical prosecutors aren't publicly condemning Peterson's actions. When a prosecutor is so focused on "winning" cases that he ignores the facts that say he may NOT have a solid case, he puts the reputations of the honest and ethical prosecutors at risk. I'd like to believe that prosecutors like Peterson are rare, but sometimes I'm not so sure. |
|
Here!, there isn't anything that would shock this the people of this town. Ada has been there and done that, or it's in the making. I'm sure there are several people that got shafted!!!
