Someone needs to contact the mccurtain county hospital board members and object to Brenda Porton continuting to be such a public figure in relation to her high profile hospital position. I dont know who her immediate boss is but I think its bad publicity to continue to have Brenda in the spotlight. The hospital belongs to our community and this community member does not care to see Brinda's picture in the paper as a spokesperson for our hospital. Granted she has not been charged with any crime however its quite obvious she KNEW Brad chose to spend the majority of his spare time with under age boys rather than with peers in his own age range....and she also ran off with him on some supposed preplanned vacation and has continued to enable him by requesting previous court dates be postponed previously requested a free attorney .....someone needs to redefine her job description...and keep her on site...until this trial is over at least....whos running that place anyway???? Geeezzzeee....

July 26th....Brad was charged with 17 MORE felonies ........however as of.saturday evening he had no been arrested nor turned himself in.....odd considering he was supposed.to be in his home and remain there from 7am to 6am. Was he not home? Obviously not.....I for one am tired of our judicial system and our everyone.......going easy on Brad....rules are rules...proper protocil is proper protocol...LEO and everyone else involved.....Brad should have to follow all the rules just like every one else!!!

Yes, I thought house arrest with conditions of drug testing and curfew from 7p to 6a meant something. He should have been available for immediate rearrest or to turn himself in...LEOs, any ideas?

This the most ridiculious story and the way this is be handled. Why should BP be out on bond?? How many more cases should have filed against him before something is done or should I say how many more children will be his victims? This just scares me that no one seems to care about the victims and why do they think Brenda and Brad should be held above the law? Please help the victims and get this man off the streets.

Click above to explain the Brad Porton case to CNN and Nancy Grace. Hopefully national news will pick up this terrible story including how he is getting special treatment from our local judge. Stick to the facts and compare this case to Sandusky case. National coverage is the only way the Porton case will be handled in accordance with our law and proper procedure.

I have some advice for the folks who believe that cnn should be investigating the Porton case.

Try contacting an investigative reporter who works at a sister station of cnn. Preferrably in your area or Tulsa.

They can contact the reporters at cnn directly. With the high volume of e-mails sent to cnn daily, the chance of your e-mail connecting with the right person is slim.

Send the reporter a link to your topix forum or any other resource you have with all the necessary info.

Also, be aware of the fact that cnn will want to speak to victim's and parents. If there is an open court case, they are usually reluctant to talk, UNTIL after the witnesses and victim's appear in court.

I am someone who did get cnn to look into a case in McCurtain County, a few years back. After cnn called the family, nothing more was done. I really don't know what happened, at that point I had done all that I could do.

I also sent an e-mail to Gloria Allred, she did respond asking what I felt she could do to help.

Being patient is hard when we are so outraged by these type of cases, but truly patience is a virtue we must adopt to be successful.

I am not posting my reporters info, because you need as many people contacting as many local reporters that works for the same network as cnn.

I have not given up on writing my concerns to the media, and I hope you won't either. God Bless you All

thanks for taking the time to post the above. Hundreds of residents feel the case has not been handled fairly thus far with respect to bond amounts set and playing favorites with respect to conditions of Brad's bond. It is a shame someone with 43 felony charges all relating to the sexual abuse of minor boys is out on bail in our state. I will do my part to research sister stations of CNN and post links for anyone and everyone intersted in making this a case of our nation to further ensure his trial is fair heard by an unbiased judge.

You are very welcome fedup.

Do you remember David Earls from McCalister? He received a 20yr sentence for the rape of a 5 year old and the judge suspended 19yrs. Geraldo Rivera came to McCalister to investigate, and trust me, it did get the OK political dogs huntin.

They were trying to oust that judge. You can search David Earls and get the full story. He died in prison.

Try this link.

This is an interesting read about the ouster of the Pittsburg County Judge for his incompetence.
I hope this post is not out of line with your forum, if so, please tell me to shut up. I really don't mind. The site below is a wealth of info about the courts in OK.
Judicial Removal Week: Judge Thomas Bartheld (OK)
February 8th, 2010 by Bill Raftery
Efforts to remove Judge Thomas Bartheld, an Oklahoma state District Court Judge, started even before the 2010 session began. Media reports of legislators planning his ouster made the news in June 2009 after Judge Bartheld sentenced a man who had pled no contest of raping and sodomizing a 5-year-old girl to 20 years in prison, 19 of which are suspended. The case made national headlines, with Bill O’Reilly mentioning the judge by name on his show seven times. Judge Bartheld, however, noted that “The district attorney, child’s family, advocates and the defendant all agreed to this [plea bargain].”
HR 1065, filed in August 2009 for the 2010 session, asks the Trial Division of the Court on the Judiciary to assume jurisdiction and institute proceedings for the removal of Judge Bartheld from office. Additionally, the same legislator has introduced HJR 1079 granting the state legislature the authority to review, amend, and otherwise change criminal sentences handed down by judges and HJR 1072 allowing the state legislature to impeach District Court Judges like Bartheld. Oklahoma’s current constitutional provision only allows for the impeachment of “the Governor and other elective state officers, including the Justices of the Supreme Court…[and]…Judges of the Court of Criminal Appeals.”
A poll conducted in January 2010 by the Tulsa World, however, finds most Oklahomans are unsure of these actions. While 57% find Oklahoma judges are “too lenient” in criminal cases, the state divided 45/46% on whether it should be easier for the state legislature to remove judges.

Complaints or concerns about judges should be directed to the Council on Judicial Complaints, c/o Administrative Office of the Courts, 1901 N. Lincoln, Oklahoma City, OK 73105

It took me a while to find this info as it was hid in the ok.gov site in very little letters, guess they don't want anyone complaining about judges

I am posting the gateway to the information that you need for contacting your politicians. And, all you need to do is enter your zip code to find them along with their voting record, email link, mailing address and many times their phone numbers. Let's see if they really are working for us or against us.

Library of Congress site.

I hope you make Thomas your new best friend.

Here is a link to an OK, CNN Affiliate that has a team of reporters working on the removal of OK Judges. Oh, btw, this is the news station that got me in contact with CNN on the injustices in McCurtain County. Don't give up on the victim's of Brad Porton's Crimes.

Just fill out the comment section on her link and make her day.
