Judged: 1 1 1 Did it take you 23 years to come up with all this pointless, shit or do you advocate the direction, to which; we, Americans are heading now? I suppose he could have bitched and moaned about Jimmy Carter, when he took office and could have done absolutely nothing, kind of like the President we have now? However; he created a very vibrant economy and improved the Middle Class, so; quit looking like an idiot, trashing Reagan. You mean you guys on the Left are so tired of trashing G.W. Bush, that you have to revert to Ronnie Reagan? This all stems from the idiot that you elected and his overall, horrendous performance, live with it and quit trying to blame someone that has been deceased for 8 years. |
|
My goodness, such remarks, who is trashing Reagan, he is only a myth crated by the republcans but they sure are not following his methods, he dropped the taes on teh rich while in office, then had to raise taxs at least 11 times and even had to raise the debt ceiling numerous times to keep up with the spending. And surehe didleave and have that grand pappy image. You just need to read up on the real Reagan not the myths. And he has been dead for a long time-- period we all die some time as life ebbs away from all of us. A friend of mine made a fortune in repoing homes in the days of Reagan. And yes I did like his movies---espeacilly the ones with monkeys as the main star.

Judged: 1 1 1 FEEL, nope, what actualy balanced the budget for Clinton was the extra revenue when the tax rates were raised on the rich. Even Bush 1 said the Rean economic policies were Vodoo economics. Reagan raised the taxes 11 times and I belieed the debt ceiling was raised 17 times. May have the numbers wrong as it was years ago. And I still remember lots of the people that lost their jobs |

Judged: 1 1 1 Wait, let me get this right, you're telling me that I need to "touch up" on Reaganomics and you're telling me that everything that accompanies Reagan' presidency is a myth. However; you will sit and argue the current President's policies and tell me that I don't understand them either. You Left Wingers amaze me, not only does your politics, not make sense, your logic, doesn't either. Everyone of you Left Wing idiots will tell me how misinformed I am, regardless of the countless facts, I throw on the board, proving my point. So, I have given up on arguing with you dolts, regarding the past and Conservative Politics. So, what are you advocating regarding this President, raise taxes and continue spending at record levels? Continue spending billions on Crony Capitalism, like Green Initiatives? Continue pushing Social Programs that are insolvent? Continue passing legislation that hinders growth, such as; Green Energy, is that what you're advocating. If it is, you're crazy as a shit house rat? |

yo reagan was not born in the us of a he was a mexican eryone knos da.

DA TRUTH, he is a myth, nearly the debt, raised taxes 11 times cut the taxes on teh rich, and raised the deficit cap about 17 times. A myth that keeps growing. But I did like the movies he was in , especially the monkeys he was in the shwo with

Judged: 1 Why are you suddenly preoccupied with Reagan with all of the troubles we have in the obama administration? If there are lingering problem left over from the Reagan administration why isn't obama doing something about it? You should learn from your mistakes, correct them and move on. The fact that you have to go back almost 24 years to look for fault shows your desperation. |

Judged: 2 1 1 As usual, you're plain wrong again, regarding the housing bubble. It was Bill Clinton that passed the Gramm - Leach - Bliley Act, which; allowed financial institutions to combine, banking and investment firms, thus; leveraging them at way greater amounts; than was previously established by Glass Steagall Act. We would have been protected from the housing bubble, had the Democrats not gutted the Glass Steagall Act, with Gramm - Leach - Bliley Act. Furthermore, you couple that with the Community Reinvestment Act, passed in 1977 by Jimmy Carter and you have a mess, called the HOUSING BUBBLE. The investment bankers were merely following the law, additionally, the Security Exchange Commission was asleep at the wheel. In summary, the government created the mess and did nothing to stop the mess and you think we should write and enforce, more legislation? It didn't work the first time. However; Glass Steagall had worked flawlessly for nearly 70 years, when it; was gutted by Democrats.......... |

Hello there Confused, I am going to add a little bit of hsitry to the myth of Reagan. He invesnted the free phones that the GOPeers TEA BAGGERS ar to day calling Obaama phones. They are reallly Reagan free pree phones as he was the originator of the Life Line program, fronting for the phone companies. Why can not the GOPeers TEA BAGGERS just accept the truth about Reagan instead of making him into a myth. He raised taxes 11 times and rised the deficit cap more times than I have fingers. Reagan stared Life LIne and signed it into law in 1985. The program of Reagans creation was designed to make telephone service universibly available to all america citizens--rich and poor alike. In 2008 President G. W. Bush adminsitration to have the FCC allow TRac Phone to join the Life Line as a provider of the Life Line program which it was allowed to do. Even ATT is a provider.

Confuuuused, you need to go back and check on who was had control of the house in the year DEcember of 2000 when the Glass Steagal billl was repealed and who actually worte the repeal to the modernization of the commodities act--Phil Ghramm and the Enron lobbyist --the republicans controled both houses by the numbers, not the democrats. In fact the demcocrats wrote bills and tried to do away with e modernization of the commodities act but the controllling Repulicans in the house and seante wouldnot let it pass. Check the facts out.An the bill was not even allowed to be read on the flooor when it was voted on. |
|
|
That bill was knwon as the Enron Loop Hole. And Phil Ghramms wife went to owrk for Enron after the bill was passed. Shows someone had a lot of pull at Enron.

Pappy, here is a link to the history of Lifeline. I didn't see Reagan's name on it. http://jthtl.org/content/articles/V5I2/JTHTLv... |
