I guess you can call it what you want. If you call pointing out how things can be run/managed better than currently done putting Walton down.....guess that is what it takes to run a campaign. How exactly would you run for this office? Agree with everything your opponent does and then ask voters to vote for you instead of him? Cole did not get personal in his questioning of the current sheriff....he questioned how the RCSO is being run. That IS the way to win an election.

You,I guess did not see the same debate I did.Cole got pretty personal.I had heard he was a good christian man.But he had a lot of anger on his face.Maybe that is what it takes to win an election.

You say that Cole Butler got personal. What did you call the question that Walton asked Butler? When he said that Butler's 31 years at the TPD was totally uneventful and lackluster. Walton called Butler's career at the TPD passive and without success. What do you call that? And then Walton said that Butler being a patrol officer did not give him the experience he needed to be sheriff. What was Walton's rank when he left the TPD to become sheriff? A person can perceive the demeanor of the candidates to fit their own needs.....just depends on who you support. Butler was not angry....he was focused but not angry. There was nothing to be angry about. And for you to question the man's faith or dedication to God is ludicrous.

Hey Cole,

I'm not sure who sounds dumber. You or your nut job supporters. Seriously, if you could surround yourself with quality people you might gain some respect.

So obviously you perceived different than others.....Hope you have fun bullying others here on the forums. People are watching and see how you are trying to ramrod your candidate back into the office. Why not try to act civil and let the voters decide? Too civil for you? Such a shame that people have to act in such a way...really nothing to laugh about.

Yes wel,l you have been posting on here since 2008 so I would say that is a lie. You claim to not have a candidate cause you don't live here. Duh Claremore IP address. Now if I'm not mistaken you worked for the DA's office? I mean thats back when you posted under a Texas Ip address. LOL

So why all of your interest and comments on a Rogers County issue if you don't live here? Very interesting that you are visiting with a Claremore IP. Have fun because about all you are doing is playing games....and this is dead serious business.

Wasn't asking you a question.......not sure why you responded other than you are very, very worried about the outcome of the election. It will be over soon....... You will survive if your Walton fella isn't re-elected.

I work in Law Enforcement in another (nearby) county. I watched the debate posted on the RSU site out of curiosity, having known both candidates professionally during their careers with TPD. Im not going to give my personal opinion here, anybody with half a brain should be able to form their own opinion from watching this debate. Look at posture, body language etc. Scott Walton IS NOT a leader, wasnt that great of a cop either (my opinion) but hey.... the voters get to decide.

This posting provides a very normal comment for law enforcement folks that know both candidates. Anyone that knows Scott knows what his work ethic was at the TPD. And it has not changed since being at the RCSO. Smoke and mirrors is the key for Scott. If someone gets too close, move and begin again. Then move again. Always surround yourself with yes people. Tell people what they want to hear....not what is actually going on. Anyone that knows Scott knows that is the norm.......
