okiefrommuskogee, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. I wonder what you are teaching your children?? To be racist?? I'm sure you are. You don't deserve to even say you are from Muskogee. I guess that's why you took your racism to Texas! "Boyton/Taft is a black school. Out of the entire high school they only have 17? I guess all the blacks must of dropped out of 8th grade and moved up to North Tulsa." "Blacks", or whatever is suitable for your ignorancy, are not the only kids that drop out of school. And there is no such thing as BLACK and WHITE schools. This is not the 60's and there is not a Blacks only, sign posted on the school doors. For one, people have no choice as to their skin color when they are born, and for two, I'm sure children have no choice as to where their parents decide to purchase a home. INCLUDING A RURAL AREA LIKE BOYTON! To limit their education or have them travel above and beyond for the same privliges is insane. North Tulsa is not just a BLACK area either. YOUR STUPID, and I hope your kids tell you they hate you everyday for making it harder for them to manage in society, since i'm sure you FORCE them to avoid BLACKS, which is the 2nd most populated race. I hope your daughter/neice/ect. starts fucking someone black too asshole

sorry to burst ur bubble, but as a parent it is my judge to know that my kids are up to par w/what their doing in school. my son was tested every year for placement and he always scored 2 yr.s ahead of were he was. maybe he was gifted or maybe he is child that does well on test as u say ur son failed. was it all subjects or just one. maybe ur son is like many children who freeze up at test time. this is a wide issue and the truth is my kids where happy there.

<quoted text> You say that your child has a 3.0 grade point now, do you ever stop and think that maybe it's the teachers fudging on the grades? I have a child who went to school there for a year and his grades dramatically raised from and F to an A in a matter of weeks. However his state test scores came back lower than they were in the previous school. You might be right, it might be that there is less kids to each teacher and it would be nice if all children could have that extra attention, but if something happens and your child has to go to another school, what are you gonna do then? I do believe that you are giving the school more than they should get credit for, taking into account they have some of the lowest state scores in the entire state. Guess U should have known THAT

I just wanted to state that my kids do attend this school not by choice but by district required and they are NOT getting a good education and even though there is a small student to teacher ratio I am fighting with the school to get that personalized one on one that my children desperatly need. They are too worried about funds to give the kids the education they need.

if another school will take u the state doesn't have a requirement for u placing them in another school. some states make u pay a fee to go to another district ok doesn't. or u can withdrawl them then go to another school, say u tried homeschooling after thr prvious school didn't work out but they need more special help that u can find personally schools are desperate (most) for students to get funding, research it, but never heard of any state mandate for going to a certain school
