I don't care if it was "just a joke" -- he never should have done that. If you feel that way about your kids, then you shouldn't have had any. And if you don't like the way your kids are acting, WHO'S FAULT IS IT??
Just another sorry excuse for a father.

bbrowning STFU!!! AGAIN AMERICA IF YOU DONT LIKE SOMETHING FORGET IT AND MOVE ON!!! The Ad even said just joking. I joke about bumping uglies with your mom all the time. Chances are its a joke and I wont do it.

America if you dont like something stfu and move on there are more important issues to be delt with rather then a joke.

The father may have meant it as a joke, but it isn't. There are "black market" children, and it is not a joke. He caused resources to be wasted that could have been put to better use elsewhere to save children who are in need of help. Expensive lesson learned for him, and he deserved it.

Yeah the troopers had to wait a few more minutes to go to Dunkin Donuts to sit in the parking lot all day and just put in their time.. I hope you get railroaded sometime soon and see how YOU like it!! I think I'll scout out the Craigslist ads and turn in everyone that wants to sell anything and give the troopers something to do all day!!

If this was a joke, this guy has a really crappy sense of humor. Probably should see if someone else in the family is more capable of taking care of them since this guy thinks it's hilarious to sell them.

Typically, I would agree with you. People do get railroaded, but when it comes to kids, we can't take the chance. There are people who sell their kids and prostitute them. I'm glad it was just a joke, trust me, but it was stupid of him.

My two kids did make the cover of BRATS magazine when they were younger. I'm not sure if it was from Cedar point or not but was worth the 15 bucks.

Shut up?! Nope. Never. When it comes to those who have no voice (in this case, those poor kids with the lousy father), I will be heard whether you like it or not.

What pisses me off about this story is that it was obviously a joke and was pursued by authorities as a major/real deal. BUT...when the real deal IS going on and authorities really DO need to step in to protect a child(ren), they DON'T! A case in point - Calista Springer in Michigan is dead now because State Police and Child Protection refused to step in and get her out of the abusive situation she was in. This kid was chained to her bed and died in a house fire. The abuse went on for YEARS and nothing was ever done. Just Google it and read for yourself people. Now, these idiot authorities want to spend tax dollars prosecuting a JOKE??? I just bet you that they've got cases in that same city right now that DO NEED prosecuting and nothing is being done! Any takers on that bet?
