Welcome news from the grand jury. The biased newspaper articles tried to make the officers appear guilty, when fault lies with the man who refused to cooperate with them. He has only himself to blame for his condition. The officers
were doing just what they are supposed to do. The
newspaper tried to make it appear this was a case of police brutality. The same sensationalism that
tries to make our troops in Iraq look bad.

well maby this guy wont be out doing crime agin. it's like if you get caught stealing, you lose a finger, if you kill, you get put to death. crimials always seem to get off so easy, and we just keep having more and more crime. You can't resist arrest or something bad will happen to you, as it should!! as for everyone complaining about who is gona pay the guys medical bills, well he should have thought about that before he was out on the town causing problems, he should have to pay.

why are you all so sure this man was all the blame?
Should these town cops or thuds be doing this much harm to a man who is in his 50's?
Why did they not use the training they took?
Why did they not use mase?
Perhaps they should go somplace like SAc, Ca and be thuds there. They could use this topof cop.
Up here it is just not at all cool what they did.
And the Doctors should stay to hell out of it.
What right do they have to discuse this guy to the public? I for on would like to see them with a law suit against them. I hate the cops in Coquille. We are all prisoners in our homes because now they are all on such a POWER TRIP.
Even if you do not ever have a record they will find a way to makeyou the bad one.
He did wrong by not doing as the cops asked I will say that but not enough to end up with a broken neck. God Dam Thugs

We are not all prisoners in our own homes, unless you are guilty of something. Most of us who dont commit crimes, dont sit around and worry about the police. and for your question in why are we sure this man is to blame, hmmmmm, DUH, He is the one in all this trouble now isn't he! Cops need to use more force with criminals. The criminals are the ones causing the problems, stealing your stuff, driving drunk, they should all be met with force, and maby we should send all the criminals to iraq instead of the cops..
