wow thank you for telling me about this website. To see the look on Pres. Bush's face when the guy was whispering in his ear just gave me goose bumps all over....knowing now what it all was.....Americans must stick together and respect each other....we have enough enemies...for us to be unkind to each other on a daily basis is such a waste of precious energy..thanks again for the opportunity to put things in perspective.

.......... There still is so much that is great about this country and American society that it seems such a waste of time and effort to dwell on that portion of it that isn't grand.... That goes especially for olde Fort Plain, and the historic olde Mohawk valley.... The greatness of the area can still be seen and enjoyed if one will but make an effort to do so.... Some of the very nicest folks to be found anywhere live in that lovely rural area.... There are still many, many charming olde homes to see and to be enjoyed for their grand historic and classic olde architecture.... Despite a regional economy that is decades past it's prime, the area does have some of the finest museums on colonial history to be found anywhere.... The folks there are still as friendly, cheerful and pleasant to be with as they ever were.... The olde Fort Plain and middle Mohawk valley region is what made America great!

I don't think I have ever see Norm refer to Fort Plain without calling it olde Fort Plain. Ye olde Fort Plain is not what it used to be, Norm.

.......... I understand you, I think.... America is not what it used to be (great national unity) in the 1940's either.... However, there still is so much good there to see and to do, in olde Fort Plain, and the Mohawk valley, that I choose to present that, and not any of the many economic and social problems that are so often posted about here.... Why dwell on the negative , when the possitive is so much more uplifting.... Anyway, it is not the fault of the people of Fort Plain and the olde Mohawk valley that Father time and American history has now passed them by.... I look forward to visiting the region once again sometime next month. |
