The First Cathedral in Bloomfield will continue to be used as the site for Enfield public high school graduations after the board of education voted 6-3 Tuesday night to do so, despite the threat of a lawsuit by two civil liberties organizations.
"Andrew Schneider, director of the ACLU of Connecticut, said, "This is an important case because it bears on the proper relationship between religion and government.
"It funnels public money to a particular house of worship, and it forces students of many different faiths to attend a graduation ceremony that reflects one specific faith," Schneider said."
What a crock! It's a building, period.
