too bad so sad...there's always Sprint at exit 7, or Citibank in Gray, or ACT in JC... they are all call centers where attendance is a huge factor, hours will include late nights and weekends, and customers will call in yelling and upset about one thing or another...I have a lot of friends that work in those...some hate it, some don't mind it, and some actually enjoy it. Just like any other job, it is what it is and you make what you want out of it.

to a certain point u are right... most call centers ARE like this. the problem w/ us solutions is US SOLUTIONS. the company is just bs. i got tired of being treated as a number and not as a person. it gets old. they do not appriciate u. they think that letting u wear shorts to work one day in the summer is showing us how much they value us. the higher ups are fake (and clueless). its just a big joke working here. the attendence policy is OK, but they need 2 make exceptions 4 doctors notes and other circumstances, which they dont. i had 2 have a medical procedure that would require me 2 be out of work 4 only 2 days... instead of not docking me points they reccomended i take a leave of absense. A LEAVE OF ABSENSE?! for 2 days? ugh honestly i could go on and on, but this place SUCKS! i want 2 spread the word.... this place is VERY decieving. it's full of lies and bad people.

Great job wrote:
"Christie" is obviously someone who couldn’t come to work and more than likely wasn’t very good at her job. The hours/schedules are bid on based 100% on seniority/attendance. After being with the company for 6 months I got the schedule I wanted because I get out of bed and go to work every day! Raises are based on job performance. So if you find yourself getting an 8 cent raise you have no one to be mad at but yourself you earned it. The sign on bonus that was being offered also based on attendance.. If you had 90% attendance after 6 months (this allows you to be absent twice a month) you received 1000 and if you had 95% attendance for a year 1500. If you had to miss a day you could always work overtime and it brought your percentage back up. Again it’s a great place to work.
Whats the 1000 bonus?? I have worked with USSG for 2 years and have never heard of it!!

Leann - The job is not physically hard. Mentally, it is exhausting. There is so much new information you have to know, and they turn you out on the phones before you are ready. It takes months to learn the basic material. Not to mention you will have at least 5 cussing screaming customers yelling at you through no fault of your own. The company is absolute crap, the benefits suck... I thought this job would be the answer to my dreams. I'd have an easier working environment, weekends off (which turned out to be a lie), a decent schedule (another lie), and so on. This job was just a huge disappointment full of lies and broken promises. It's been almost a year since I've quit but I'm still trying to warn people not to make the same mistake I did. This job/company is VERY misleading. They can't keep people so they will do/say anything to make it seem good. It's not!

i've worked in call centers in this area. i've called random people trying to sell vacations, i have called people at 9am demanding politely a payment. Talk about angry people on the phone then. that being said though, I have worked other jobs as well and years later i have kicked myself for leaving that collections job etc because you realize in this area and this economy even 9.00/hr alone makes things easier to swallow especially when you take that reference of mcdonalds. you work random hours, sometimes dont get a break at all, your feet ache, sure you are a person to them but you are also easily singled out for any reason. you work on the holidays, you dont even have an option for insurance because they want to keep you just under that 35hrs/wk. every company has its own skeletons in its closet. every experience will be different. But when other people are talking cut backs and lay offs, here is a company that is not only hiring but expanding. sounds like a little job security. on top of that the attendance policy sounds more than lenient. one call center took 1/3 point if you took more than 2 minutes to boot the pc, load all your needed apps and be taking your first client. seems like a balance to me

Boy ol boy, I have been waiting to see a post about this. I want to set the record straight. This job sucks ass, this company was a decent company to work for back when Dave ran things. Ever since he left and that brought in Sean Cook, thats when things took a turn for the worse. He sucks, he has no personality or people skills. All they care about is how good they look, and as long as their numbers are met and they get that nice bonus, thats all that maters to them. They make this job out to be so great when you are going through the hiring process but it doesnt take long to relize how they really are. The insurance sucks, they dont give raises, my co-worker was there for three years and they go a total raise of .16 cent over a 3 year period. Horrible bosses, they only ones that are worth a damn are Crystal, Sarah, and Laura. The others suck and the only reason they are where they are is because they walk around with their noseup Bryson's ass. He is a piece of shit with kids spread out from one side of the country to the other. I wouldnt suggest this job to anyone, not even my worst enemy. The only wat I would suggest anyne coming to work here is if the entire company management was replaced, I'm talking about getting rid of Sean, Sharon, Bryson, and Julie. Those 4 suck at their jobs and only care about theirselves. So please rethink your decision to come work for this company, they are horrible, now I know why the turn over rate is so bad......POOR POOR POOR MANAGEMENT AND BENEFITS!!!!!!!!!!

I know of a few people that have worked there and I heard its a real shitty place to work. I had an interview once too. Their systems went down and they had me sit there and wait for like 4hrs to interview me. A total waste of my time. If you want to do any call center work go to sprint or citi. Yes you are going to get bitched at all day but the benefits are WAY better then what I have read about US Solutions.

You said it all. Anyone thinking about taking this job, please reconsider. I will say this, Crystal was awesome. She really cares about her employees and will go above and beyond to help you. The other managers? No. I am so thankful everyday that I don't work in this hellhole anymore. It's not worth it. The 9.00 an hour IS NOT WORTH IT. I would gladly work a minimum wage job before going back here.

Two points to make. 1) The republican thugs gave this company $5.4 Million to move there. They put that money into their pocket. It benefits the area not one bit. There will not be a SINGLE SOLITARY JOB ADDED TO THE AREA. Would you move across town for $5.4 Million.??? In other words, our own tax dollars pay the salaries for the people that work at US SOLUTIONS for almost a year. Now we pay them to work for them. Their billing us for killing us....2) there are several class action law suits against them for failing to pay their employees.

Hate to be so negative.

Ron Ramsey's head hold 8.6 pounds of solid stupid. No offense.

When I started working at US Solutions they only worked 5 days a week from 6 AM to 6 PM. Then someone got the brilliant idea of one group working on Saturdays, in less than a year everyone was required to work one Saturday a quarter. We were also given 5 days off if we scheduled them in advance. I took a day off then scheduled the other 4 on the Saturdays I was supposed to work until they decided not to give me the days off that I had scheduled according to their rules. That's when I decided to leave, when a company will change their own rules for one employee for the sole benefit of the company, then it's a good time to leave. I refuse to work for a tyrant. We won't even mention the fact that promotions were handled not by job performance or attendance but by how big of a kiss up you are, or the fact that the rules change for call procedures on a weekly basis. I did however receive a raise after a year of working there, according to them a generous .15 an hour, which at the time didn't even cover the gas it took me to drive from Bristol to Abingdon, because they consistently refused to transfer me to the Bristol location which I could walk to.

sadly this is true. plz listen.... this is not a good job. My daughter started working here b/c she had 2 kids to support and thought it was a step up from crappy minimum wage jobs. she was so disappoited and found out this place was worse. after 2 yrs of being miserable she went back 2 her job at burger king. she said she would rather go back there then deal w/ those ppl at u.s. solutions. the pay sucks for what u have 2 deal w/, she only got a 4 cent raise each year even though she had perfect attendence. this place is not right!

The most unprofessional environment I have ever witnessed.
This is the best job most of their employees can ever hope to get.
They absolutely underpay their employees.
Sex and personal lives are duscussed in the open with consideration.
Sexual harassment is the norm.
I know too many people that have left. Good for them.

Really? I have never heard of anyone being harassed and very rarely hear anyone talking about anything inappropriate and even when I have it hasn't been anything super insane... Did you report any of these incidents

I have years of experience working in a call center I worked at Advanced Call Center Technologies in Johnson City Tennessee. Had also worked at Sykes Enterprises Inc. In Vansant Virginia. US Solutions in Bristol Tennessee is a joke seriously. You have to pass some stupid test about FedX company before they will even hire you.. seriously? Companies like that need to wake up this is reality not some bullshit based off the interests of a company..
