My last 2 bills are the highest I have had. However, I do not believe that is has anything to do with them splitting from the city. I know mine are higher because I have used more electricity in order not to freeze to death. My family likes to be warm and not see our breath inside. We keep the heat set on 68 degrees. In order to do this I have used more kilowatts, that is why the price is high. The price of power per kilowatt has increased for all power companies. Just listen to everyone complaining about AEP or Johnson City Power Board. Everything is expensive anymore. It is a shame that electricity is a necessity though. With the exception of the high bills I love my BVU service. I have had both JC power and AEP and they truly suck. Anybody that has ever had another provider will tell you the same.

Are you serious?!?! ITS CALLED OPTI-NET! How else are they going to pay for the millions of dollars of debt the accumulated while running private industry out of town and wiping out several great paying jobs in Bristol while they hire contractors from Carolina and every dead beat dope head from the area to do their grunt work.

Everyone I have talked to has had thier utilities bill skyrocket over the last few months, even higher than last year. A bunch of crooks run BVU. I hope they choke on the money.

I think some folks have lost touch with reality. It may be sunny and 50+ degrees today, but do you remember the incredibly cold overnight and daytime temps we've had for the last few months? Do you remember the snow? When it's cold, you use more electricity - that's why your bill is higher.

Yes, that would make sense, but it has gone up by great margins over last year. You cannot claim it has been THAT much colder than the year before.

It was actually MUCH colder last year. We were below 0 and in single digits for weeks. We have only got down that low 3 or 4 times so far this year so it doesn't make sense that my bill is 200$ more than last year

How about a 750.00 a month bill for the past 2 months for a 82 year old living alone? The stove and oven are never used and they keep their heat on a low temp.....BVU was called and they told us that they could send someone out to check it out and give us advice!! All they want to do is sell products. This home has a new heatpump new insulation new energy saving windows and a new water heater. Not sure how BVU is allowed to rip us off.

BVU just needs to change its name to Wes Rosenbalm. That would feed his arrogant ego really good. He alone is an insensitive crook who cares nothing about his customers or his community. He just wants to do what he thinks makes him look good, regardless of the cost to others.
His day will come, and he will crash hard. I just pray the customers of BVU do not have to suffer when it happens.

Try owning a small business & getting a $3000 electric bill. They are totally outragous!!! Money hungry fools! I hate BVU, they don't care about anyone.

Also, the collection fee for trash, grass leaves etc. They will not pick up cardboard unless it is in the can. They grass lays for 3 weeks before that truck comes around. The road sweeper may be seen once every 2 months. BVU is a joke. I am getting ready to drop my phone and internet and cable and go to a cheaper company

I have heard that if you pass Rosenbalm on the street and speak to him, unless you are of high social class he will ignore you and not speak back.

This is so true. Try going to Church with him and because I am not in his "click", he pretends he doesnt see me and I dont exist and his wifey gives a very small grin if I smile at her. They are such hypocrites. I am praying for them.

Have you noticed how high the fuel cost adjustment is? That makes the bill 1/3 higher. I hate that charge. Now the trash collector and everyone else is charging it.

Have you noticed how high the fuel cost adjustment is ? That charge adds 1/3 more to your bill. It really makes me mad. Now the trash collector and everyone else is doing the same thing.

I go to church with the Rosenbalm's. I know all of his children because I had them all in Sunday School. They are wonderful people.

Yeah Disagree, you must be part of his "click". Bet you would ignore us on the street if we spoke also.
