Britney Spears was an easy target for ridicule in 2006. The once brightly shining pop star was seen tarnishing her reputation with bizarre behavior - shaving her head and attacking an SUV with an umbrella.

Chris has an enormous capacity to be charming and charismatic, as seen in his video to Miley Cyrus (search it on YouTube), and in his ability to win thousands of devoted fans, but in person, he can be dismissive, high-handed, and disrespectful. He even alienates his fans. One fan told me she made special site for his favorite music on MySpace and gave it to him as a gift, along with the id/password. Then she made an innocent joke he didn't like, and he blocked her from the site later, the one she created for him! He changed the password or something too. Stuff like that is typical. Spiteful, vindictive stuff. People forgive Chris, though, because he was bullied and copes with it by being dominant now. That's his defense, it seems, to repel any perceived slight, real or imagined, with aggression or avoidance. He's also admitted to being the most paranoid person he knows. He was also more charming and mellow as a girl.

Your post suggests that you think Chris is a one-hit wonder. That may be a common misconception. Besides "Leave Britney Alone!" he has about 50 more videos with over a million views each, a song that made the iTunes top 50, plus a winning documentary at Sundance that was bought by HBO last year, plus T-shirts, etc. Not bad for a kid who started with no money, no high school, no job, and no parents who stayed around. Let's give some credit where it's due. He was a great, pioneering YouTuber...
