Cop or not cop, I think it is shameful that he/she would come onto Topixs of all places and call out a fellow worker. Takes a lot of courage to face a problem like this head on and confront the coworker face to face. Takes little of nothing, including good sense, to come onto the Internet and say something like that about someone. My guess is this is someone who got ticket or something and is trying to paint someone at the police station in bad light or to get something stirred up and try and get someone in trouble. Otherwise, I think if they are who they say they are they need to change jobs because I don't want a pussy riding around protecting me, and only a pussy would come on here and post something like that.

I'd say your right. Bet money he says "would you like fries with that" alot.

Definatley an entry level mentality at best.

i have personal and work knowledge that backs fed ups claims and if you want examples try letting a whole shift answer your calls bc u thought u could be a cop knowing you cant go 5 mins w/out sitting on the crapper and letting ur sgt get in a fight and having 2 other officers beat u to a residence in ur own zone when they are coming from the other side of the city. and on top of that u go on 3 wks of light duty bc ur pooper hurts bc ur stressed.... and even on light duty u still cant answer the calls when they walk in the lobby. if u need more examples - let me know.

I don't think he's always in the john to poop. My guess is it's to text, make calls, get on topics, rest, relax, or maybe take a nap.

Why does this guy bother you so much? If you do your job and you feel good about it when you go home WTF does he have to do with your life. If your doing your job itwill ay off and he'll be working for you one day. As they say he cream rises to the top.

I just can't see getting on here and putting the info out when a person could just walk up to the individual and say "dude your killing us" you need to blah blah blah. A sort of on the spot correction if you will. That way dude knows and it would always be in the back of his mind people know he is doing whatever. Just me I guess.

Now ASHAMED and the other 8+ could also be right as well. Who knows and who cares really. I thought you were done with it 7 posts ago?

All these "so called cops" on here acting like they are in elementary school is disgusting. Don't you have a supervisor? Have you ever thought of getting off your computer and taking the complaint to them? Or are you just gonna sit and whine about it? This is NOT the place for this discusion, do something about it or suck it up. My Lord, what a sad sorry state. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

sometimes those who know about it and are aware of it are those who are supervisors..... sometimes its best to vent about things. where do you turn if your in a corner ? cops dont have control over everything - personal or work but yet are held at a higher standard than others. why is it not ok to vent about things under enuf pressure as it is where do they turn to if they feel like they cant turn to there supervisors

Venting is something you do to your coworkers sitting in a parking lot with nobody else around. This isn't venting. This is juvenile ranting. Police officers need maturity, wisdom and good judgment, this shows none of those traits. Police officers need intergrity of character, again, that is absent here. Police officers are supposed to be problem solvers. What a way to solve a problem.

I hope the person that started this topic makes the right decision and leaves police work. There simply is no place in this profession for people with little or no intestional fortitude, strength of character, and lack of discipline. This isn't pointing out an unsafe working condition, it is kicking a fellow employee while they are down, just exactly the opposite of what a true cop would do. Even if they are 100% correct in what they have said, and I'm not saying they are, they are still 100% wrong in the method they chose to "vent" about it.

I've talked with a lot of cops about this and to a man they all say whomever wrote this should be fired. NOBODY is defending this person, with the exception of the one or two idiots who have posted on here. In fact, most of them feel as I do, that this person is a disgrace to the badge, their profession and their department.

Don't be bashing people for making quality of life changes. If any of you want to come by the fire department I'll give any one on here a refresher course on defensive tactics!!

Over the years 9 firefighters transfer to the police department, maybe more. About 5 years ago 4 police officers transfer to the fire department. "Who can't hang?"

I just want to thank the police officers who stood up for what is right on this forum. One person called you idiots, but I call you true heros. Its a sad thing when higher up defends one person over a full shift. You could have said that night," What the hell, i'm not going to take his call for him." But instead you raced across town, because when you are called, you answer. Sometimes a person will use a condition to benifit himself. But with proper diet he can live a productive life. Police are just as human as anybody else. They get ill too, with someone who dont do their job. I say this is the place to voice yourself when no one will hear you on the job. Again I thank you all for doing your job & being responsable.

Fed Up really? you think people are that stupid? Commenting on your own post is like talking to yourself and then answering in third person.

That being said I would applaud any Officer no matter what State, City or County. Their job is a thankless one and nobody really cares or aknowledges an Officer until they needed one.
