I am enraged at this moment. Today my husband and I were at the fairly new Rooster Front dog park with our small dog. There was only one other small dog in there with us and 1 large dog on the large dog side. Here comes a woman with 2 pit mixes weighing 50 pounds each. When she gets out of her car with both of them they are pulling her so hard she can barely stand up and then she brings them in the small dog side!! They immediatly come in nd as soon as she lets them off leash they run at us and our dog. I pulled him up on the bench and shoowed them away. They were each 5 times my dog size so when they ran at him with such force it scared him. This happened several times. These dogs do not belong on the small side of the park. The woman ignored my obvious disgust so finally we left. I DO NOT hate big dogs or pits but if you go to a dog park go to the correct size. Small side is for yorkies and chihuhuas and dauchshounds. Pits, great danes and german sheperds belong on the big side. Its disrespectful to ruin other people's visits by being rude and incosiderate!

its the same with children. theres always some stupid fool that brings their kids to the park and don't waatch them and they get too rough with little kids and push them out of the way when they aren't fast enough.
some people are disrespectful, ill mannered idiots. its just this generation of ME ME ME!!!

I agree with you-another dog owner. I dont understand it. I am not asking people for much- just simply take your dog in the right size park!

How about not even taking your dogs to this park, you don't know how dogs will behave with other dogs. What if those two dogs didn't have vaccinations? My opinion the City Of Bristol wasted tax dollars building a useless "Bark Park" that could be a liability in the long run. The money could have been used to upgrade sidewalks that need repair or build another play ground in place of the "Bark Park."

Anytime a dog owner lets his or her dogs associate with other dogs they are taking a risk. If you are walking on a street and you let your dog sniff another you are taking a risk. However I feel alot more safe with my small dog being around dogs his own size rather than bigger dogs. You wouldnt let a 3 yr old toddler play with a bunch of 10 year old kids unsupervised. Its the same thing. As far as the city building it-its what we pay taxes for. It may have been expensive to build but upkeep can not be that expensive. Its a fenced in square with 3 benches in it.

this person either didn't know the park situation of big dog and small dog seperation or she didn't care.and not having voice control to get them to leave you alone displays a lack of consideration. you need to do more than "show" disgust. this type of person needs to hear it. if she can't appreciate your concern, maybe a policeman can explain it to her.the city created the park and they are e responsible authority for it.

I agree-I probably should have said something. She could obviously tell it was the small side plus a BIG sign on the door saying SMALL DOGS. I am a very nice person and didnt want to cause an uproar in public but I should have. She was just inconsiderate!

I am not sure if you are trying to say me-the author- or the inconsiderate person are fat, dont work or whatever but that isnt the case with either one of us I dont believe. I was ONLY at the park on a Monday because I was off work due to it being Mem. Day, I work 50 hours a week, every week. And the woman who was the idiot wasnt fat and drove a nice car. BUT what does it matter???? Ignorant people who dont know how to properly comment on post need to stick to playing their Facebook games and not spend time writing BS on here. I was trying to point out a very serious problem and you try to be "cute" and write dumb comments. You need to work and not spend time writing stupid comments!

Your mama,
You know this is boarder line a National Epidemic. If puppies and cats are left to walk the streets of our city their will be pandemonium. It will start with a little butt sniffing and sharing a water bowl and the bam...we have cats having puppies and dogs having kittens...and dogs eating "KITTY" I can only imagine the chaos.

Now I do feel for those who work 5 and 6 days a week, 50 or 60 hours maybe; trying to make ends meet and raising a family. I know cost of living is going up and wages aren't. I know you are losing 35% of you check off the top to taxes and losing another 10% of you money with every purchase you make. I know the city and county taxes are going through the roof with these B.S. appraisers over pricing your home property.

Don't think of it as a Bark Park that is wasted money; think of it a place for crotch sniffing, flee ridden uppity a$$ lickers to go play with other animals like them...and take their dogs. At least these idiots won't be on the road doing 20 MPH on the parkway and we can go on the work and get back home.

Before you dog lovers chime in I don't hate dogs I actually like them. I like them enough to have a yard for them to play in. I like them enough that I made sure I had at their house where they live everything they needed to be happy and SAFE. I also have enough balls to stand up for myself at the time it needs to happen and not wait and cry on Topix. I like to call it an ON THE SPOT CORRECTION. You should have gotten a cat since your such a "KITTY".

You all are just rude and dont respect people having opinions. I am glad you have a nice big yard for your dogs but those of us you mentioned working hard to make ends meet cant all afford a nice home with a yard. Its nice to have a place you can take your dog such as a dog park. I work hard and pay taxes so I should get a little enjoyment out of it. Maybe I was raised to be lady-like and not cause a big scene in public. If thats my worse characteristic then I am OK with that.
