As far as working aliens, well they are doing the job aren't they. how do you know they are illegal? I work for a company that hires aliens all the time, but they have the correct paperwork, just because they are here working their tails off for just better than minimum wage doesn't mean they didn't get here through all the hassle. Don't always judge the book by is cover or do you just judge by the color?

I have been employed by Dollywood for almost its inception. As far as Dolly being paid 1 million dollars a year, that info has never been publicly released. Dolly is a major share holder in the corp. but her percentage of ownership also has never been pubicly announced. There are NO illegal aliens working in the kitchens or anywhere else on the park. During peak season they have in the past employed eastern Europeans all totaly ligit. A company that size cannot afford to take shortcuts or cheat by hiring illegal help. They have far too much to loose. Now to the $7.00 per issue. Sure some jobs start at that rate but most do in the tourisim industry. Having been a long term employee, I know different. Myself and lots of my co-workers own nice homes and drive new cars. Plus Dollywood is one of the few employers that offer a nice benefit package. There is a Dr. on site avalible to employees and their familys. They offer paid vacations, paid holidays, 401k and medical and dental insurance at a reasonable rate.

I have done my home work and that is where I got the information. Go ito the employeee parking lot and you sure won't see new cars there. There is also multimillion dollar lawsuits for one of those illegal mexicans molesting the young children who work there. Not to mention the child labor law violations. You need to open your eyes the next time you are at the plantation. Hey, if you want to be a slave that is ok, I notice you are a coward and did not give your name either.

My judgement is made up of fact. At the present time there are several multimillion dollar lawsuits for one of thier mexicans molesting the children that work and visited there. Go to the court house Melissa and see for your self. Don't try and pull that race crap with me it won't work.

Yes it is true. Pigeon Forge, Tennessee exceeds the National crime rate in 8 catiories. Just check the FBI CRIME DATA on their web site, It is safer in Iraq that it is in Pigeon Forge TN. Even Dolly's home town news paper the Mountain Press recommends Disney World over Dollywood.
There is an out of control crime and drug problem in Pigeon Forge TN. Once again just check the FBI web site. Tennessee is second in the Nation in corruption and the FBI has just completed the Tennessee Waltz sting operation putting some of the elected officials behind bars. The FBI just cleaned out Cocke County, including the Sheriff. Most of Dollywood employees live in Cocke County. Just ask for the stolen car report from the Dollywood and Dixie Stamped parking lots. No wonder Dolly does not even live here.

I'm going to be short here. How can you compare Pigeon Forge to Iraq? I just left there after serving a year representing this great country and our great state of Tennessee. I remember many days when my fellow commrades would talk about trips to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg and praying we make it back home to do it many more times. So i suggest next time you decide to compare places please visit both before making that desion. I am sure that out of the 4,000 local National Guardsmen that just returned back to Tennessee many of them have visited these areas with their families and seeing what we saw I am sure they felt really safe. You must be a member of the 278. I have relatives there right now son! The crime rate in Pigeon Forge exceeds the National Average in 8 Categories. There are multi million dollar lawsuits for child molestation at Dixie Stampede. There is Gay Day at Dollywood. Again I say, it is safer in parts of Iraq than in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Why don't you further own up to the reason you have an axe to grind first against the City of Pigeon Forge and second against the Dollywood company. It is easy to hide anonymously behind a computer monitor. The real truth is you have no facts. Things people say at a bait shop or at a barber shop are not facts. They are technically called rumors.

Share with us your truths with documentation as you reference above. I have checked out much of the junk you are peddling and have found none of it to be true. It is sensational, sure, but you peddle in half-truths and rumor.

The partnership paid more than a half billion dollars in payroll since 1986.(newspaper sources)

Dollywood pays above the minimum wage for most positions. Much of the employee base is paid much more than that because of their tenure with the park. Dollywood says that of the management team, more than 80% have been with the company 5 years or more. In searching the internet on all the stories about the deal at Dixie Stampede it looks like in all the articles that this Gonzales had his green card. It also looks like the restaurant suspended the guy when the accusation was brought by the other employee and then fired the guy as soon as there were charges filed.

I know I run a business and it sure wouldn't be my fault is one of my employees decided to touch another employee. Now if I kept him on after he did it, then I would be guilty but I can't see how they have done anything wrong at this point. We'll have to see what happenens when the guy goes to trial.

Ok I will, a Sevier County Deputy by the name of Arthur Harmon sold drugs to my son in an arcade on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and destroyed my family. I believe Mr. Harmon is till in jail.
