SO now we are supposed to feel bad because there are children involved - stop using that as an excuse to condone illegal activity. They knew (of should have known) that there is a distinct possibility that at any point in time they could be found out and get deported. They have, after all, broken the law of the country that they want to support them. Two choices here - come into this country legally or enter illegally and take your chances. I have a very hard time finding sympathy for someone who choses to start their life in a new country by immediately breaking the law and stealing someone else's identity in order to prosper. What about the people whose identity they have taken over? Those are the ones that I feel sorry for - legally in this country (most often born here to at least a 2nd or 3rd generation of family), have done nothing wrong and find out that someone is using their identity. Send them back ASAP and flag them (photo if possible) in EVERY possible database in the country so that they cannot sneak back in here.

And, I also have been a victim OF ID theft from an illegal Canadian citizen. One police station said there was nothing I could do. Therefore, I went to the State Police. It took an act of God to have her arrested because of her fricken rights... forget about mine... you know the US citizen, the tax payer.(Forget about how she destroyed MY credit. I wasn’t the victim she was.) It was so appalling. Moreover, they wouldn’t extradite her because she was x-amount of miles in radius from Newfoundland. More insulting was, there were warrants for her arrest for fraud and ID theft (plus a long rap sheet). Unbelievable how these illegals can turn your world upside-down and they are protected. It’s nauseating. SEND THEM BACK NOW!

What ever happen to the law "Aiding & Abetting". The familys of these said illegals are harbouring these fugitves. If someone was to hide a bank robber or rapist, they would would be arrested and charged also. Perhaps we should run checks on theses arrested families as well. As far as i am concerned, if you are in this country illegal, you have NO rights and you should be deported to never return again. Homeland Security???? There is none, when is this country going to wake up, after the next 911???? More sting operations should be put in full swing. If the police can sit in the bushes to trap speeders, whats the difference? DEPORT THEM NOW!

Don Carceri(Governor) Vs. David Ciciline(Providence Mayor): As much as i hate political mud-slinging, Don carceri's tatics may have been unorthidox but he shook up up the city and state and its about damn time we got a governor who will take a stand. As for David Ciciline, yes he got blindsided but he needed that, he needs to wake up and address the issues with a firm hand and force his police to do thier job and if that means running immigration checks and they don't like it?, well guess what, thats your job, not to mention your american duty and enforce homeland security. Homeland security must start at the bottom, locally in every community in the country for it to work straight to our borders. It is every american's civil duty to report any suspicous activity and that includes illegal immigrants. I think its time for the american people to be heard in this country. The ones who are crying about it being unfair are the ones who are "Aiding & Abetting" these fugitives.....a crime as far as i know, unless this was striken from our books when i was sleeping at the wheel. In closing, i support Don Carceri's effort but this should only be the beginning, more should follow A.S.A.P and do not back down or let up. Deport NOW!!!!

Why didn't they bring in the persons that hired these illegal immigrants? Why are they not being given a large fine if caught doing so? Why isn't a large fine given to ANYONE hiring illegal immigrants? THEY WILL GO HOME IF THEY CAN'T GET JOBS.

Dear Don Carceri,
Happy to see ICE is cracking down in your State of Rhode Island. Can you issue an Executive order to get the Legislators back to get your State Law to get rid of the ILLEGAL ALIENS?
I'm from the State of Delaware, and want you to know I am very proud of you for your stand on this illegal immigration. You are absolutely correct when you say, "IF YOU'RE HERE ILLEGALLY, YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE".
I wish our so called leaders here in Delaware had the back bone to pass a law to get rid of the ILLEGAL ALIENS in our State. Maybe next year.
I wish you, and the LEGAL residents of Rhode Island the very best.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for them. They clearly know they are in violation of the law. If they don't want to be "nervous" then LEAVE! I'm so tired of being told to feel sorry for people who are cheating the system. How many articles are written about children of American criminals who have been thrown in jail? Those families are "torn" apart too. What is the common thread...the adults chose to cheat and they tore apart their families themselves. No sympathy. Illegals go home. You are not welcome here.

Migrating to America legally is, and should be, a long, drawn-out procedure meant to protect the interests of American citizens. It involves more than simply jumping a fence and heading north in pursuit of free health care, education, food stamps, and other handouts paid for by U.S. taxpayers. Legal immigration means enduring rigorous hurdles like background checks to detect a criminal background or possible ties to terrorists; medical examinations to detect diseases still prevalent in third-world nations, but long since eradicated here; proof of financial solvency so as to prevent newcomers from becoming a burden on U.S. taxpayers, and testing for knowledge of American history and English skills. Those who have jumped a fence into America in order to avoid our immigration checks are not immigrants. Rather, they are invading criminals, with no claim whatsoever to the welcome mat extended to legal immigrants. Such people do not deserve recognition or sanction by the United States, and should be rounded up and deported as soon as possible, without exception.

To those people protesting. What do you not understand about illegal aliens? They broke laws and came into this country illegally. Why? Does not matter They are illegal. They dont belong here. The people that hired them should be prosecuted. And sent to jail. As for their families. Hey they brought them in or they had anchor babies. So what? It is their fault
