It doesn't matter who the mayor is. They don't have that much power any way.

Any of the 3 mentioned above would maintain the status quo. The haves would have, the have nots would have not. There needs to be a straight up honest candidate with integrity that could make a decision or influence policy without being concerned whether they were going to make any money off the deal. Then they need to clean house of the current imbedded long term employees who are serving no one but themselves. See anyone like that around ? I don't ! And don't be fooled, the right mayor has more power than you think.

Edward Reynolds being elected Mayor of Bainbridge would be a big mistake. It seems to me the same type of person is elected every time.

Joe: please explain why Mr Reynolds would be a big mistake? Also what was wrong with Mr Harrell being mayor?

Harrell and Reynolds neither have the gumption to tell the City Manager what direction to go. The City Manager runs with his own adgenda and gives non-qualified paramores big salaries, accepts gratuties from an over charging Engineer, and more to come....

In my humble opinion I would like to see another canidate for mayor. I have nothing against Mr. Reynolds. The few times I have met him he seems to be decent person. I am sure he is more than qualified for the position as being a long time resident and served on all of the seemingly requisite boards and commitees prior to serving a term on the council. The problem that I have with this is the fact that his father was mayor for DECADES and how many more years of the Reynolds family vision of Bainbridge do we really need? Now I think we would all agree that his father did a great job as mayor. He is responsible for many of the positives of this community, but one family's vision for a community is not the best route for us to go. I would like to encourage anyone thinking of running for mayor to do so. I am sure I am not the only one in town who feels this way, if they are being honest.

Very well said. "If you keep on doing what you have always done, you will keep on getting what you have always gotten."

I too agree with bdge big boy ! Surely someone out there has an interest and a voice....People grumble, but few have the nerve to speak up. LETS STOP LETTING CITY MANAGER, CO.COM MISIONERS, AND PEOPLE at DOWNTOWN BOE DO WHAT THEY WANT without us saying something. LOTS of fat in the before mentioned areas that needs trimming!

can't people see that all these people in office have been set in place by each other and planned out. i heard it when mayor bill reynold's passed that mark was going to be mayor. they couldn't put edward right on there before seving on city council. look back people edward did'nt want anything to do woth politics till his father became ill. if you think this is not true then wait, watch and see that when larry funderburk retires scott worsley will be police chief. if you don't know him he is currently the police chief in colquitt ga. he was before he went to fbi acadamy, which happens to be a requirement to be police chief of bainbridge. but it has the possibility of not happening if you get rid of chris hobby. you want a new city, get rid of the one who is breaking it(chris). how can you lay off city workers and justify a remodel of city hall.that really shows good management. oh i heard that the money was coming from splosh for the remodel, i guess it's for that only.

I do remember it being said that Mark Harrell would take mayor while Edward Reynolds got into politics to hold the spot. Eventually Mark Harrell would step aside and let Edward Reynolds have it. Seems to be coming true doesn't it?

FBI Acdemy is not a requirement of the city to be
chief. that was charles tysons requirement when he was city manager.
