Discrimination-
1 a : the act of discriminating b: the process by which two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently

-The community has to report to work risking their life and safety and the safety of their children for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift workers, while those whom make the decision (travel advisory) at their discretion go home @ noon?

-level 2 snow emergency which orders all non-essential city departments to close at noon today. These departments include all the offices in Old Stoney (Mayorís office, Clerk-Treasurerís office, Building Services Department) as well as the Frankfort Parks Department.

-If the roads are hazardous for you, they are hazardous for us too! SMH

Really?
Discrimination-
1 a : the act of discriminating b: the process by which two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently.
Okay, let's break this down for "mad cow."
Two differing stimuli meaning some work @ offices in Old Stoney (Mayorís office, Clerk-Treasurerís office, Building Services Department) as well as the Frankfort Parks Department. compared to the rest of the community. Are you with me so far?
-differing in some aspect are responded to differently: meaning the weather, road conditions were hazardous enough for them (offices in Old Stoney (Mayorís office, Clerk-Treasurerís office, Building Services Department) as well as the Frankfort Parks Department to go home by noon,
but not hazardous enough for our "Elected officials" to issue a level 1 so that the rest of the community could be safe inside their homes at noon for the rest of the day...duh!

WEBSTER'S dictionary; two stimuli differing in some aspect are responded to differently.
The rest of the citizens had to stay at WORK UNTIL THE END OF THEIR BUSINESS DAY. WHILE OTHERS HAD TO REPORT TO WORK FOR 2nd and 3rd SHIFT,
YET THE TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS CALLED FOR offices in Old Stoney (Mayorís office, Clerk-Treasurerís office, Building Services Department) as well as the Frankfort Parks Department. TO GO HOME @ NOON & HOPE WE DRIVE SAFE LOL!
A clear example (please read slowly)
According to a press release, Frankfort Mayor Chris McBarnes has issued a level 2 snow emergency.
"If any Frankfort businesses are open today, we urge all employees to use extreme caution when traveling to and from their places of work. Our local roads are treacherous right now and we urge citizens to limit their travel, if at all possible,Ē McBarnes said.
AGAIN "We urge citizens to limit their travel, if at all possible." Issuing a level 1 would help citizens to limit their travel, DEFIANTLY!
The instead of declairing a LEVEL 2, HE HAD EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO DECLARE A LEVEL 1 with the safety of everyone in mind.
-under the Level 1 warning designation, which coincides with Indiana Homeland Security guidelines, travel is restricted to emergency workers, law enforcement and private health care workers.
"Worker" idk wtf you're trying to communicate to me? Duh.. IF I WORK???
"Hi there," unfortunately, it is a requirement aka job discription for the police to work 24/7. My post said nothing about the police. Do you think, if the mayor would have issued a level 1, the officers would have less calls today and been that much more safe?! Yeah.
I said, it is completely ridicilous that IF the weather conditions are bad enough for the Mayor to be safe in his home by NOON, THEN THE WEATHER IS BAD ENOUGH FOR THE COMMUNITY TO BE HOME AS WELL!! How hard is that to comprehend?
Besides the mayor will not be the one paying for a vehicle to get towed, or $250-$500 deductible for a wrecked vehicle to get repaired, or for that matter hospital bills or funerals! The citizens & police safety today was compromised greatly by the discretion of issuing a LEVEL 2 compared to LEVEL 1.. ya diGG?
Hope none of you angry name callers ever lose a loved one due an accident caused by treacherous weather conditions, because that'd be a hard burden to carry; while those whom MAKE THE DECISION (travel advisory) at their DISCRETION go home @ NOON?
-level 2 snow emergency which orders all non-essential city departments to close at NOON!
I can not understand the following statement for you (mad cow, Hi There, Worker, or Smart Gringo), but I stand by it ;)
If the roads are hazardous enough for you (offices in Old Stoney (Mayorís office, Clerk-Treasurerís office, Building Services Department) as well as the Frankfort Parks Department.
nonessential city departments, etc), to go home by noon and be safe for the rest of the day;
they are hazardous enough for us (the rest of the community) to go home by noon and be safe for the rest of the day too! SMH

The key word here is "non-essential" which includes the Mayor's office. I don't believe that it is the Mayor's job to declare these snow emergency. Is it not declared by the county commissioners?

You are correct. However the mayor likes to take credit for a lot of things....
