A former Navajo Housing Authority chief executive accused of accepting gambling chips from a construction company in exchange for $38 million worth of federal housing contracts and the firm's owner have been indicted by a federal grand jury in Nevada.

I don't know if Navajos who make it in the workplace suddenly become greedy and resort to fraud because of the mentality on the Navajo Nation that you "can get away with murder." It's sad to read about Navajo CEOs, superintendents, directors and department heads who resort to malfeasance, fraud and embezzlement to feed their greed and corruption. It's rampant in the Navajo nation government with people double dipping for mileage and perdiem, coming to work late, taking Friday off consistently and "bleeding the system". Navajo government creates a work ethic of "do little and save your job and make every person miserable because at least you have job security."
