Orders of protection in most domestic abuse cases apparently are useless, and may even inflame the situation. This guy Titus should have been behind bars. The four judges who adjourned the case six times have blood on their hands.

Look at that guy. And they say Neanderthals are extinct. To that I say "BS." How else do you explain some people's notion that another person is their property just because they effed them. What part of "go away" don't they understand?

SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T HAVE THE SMARTS TO WALK AWAY, OR TO EVEN GET INVOLVED IN A UNSTABLE RELATIONSHIP.....ONE LOOK AT THIS GUY, & IT SHOWS. BUT I HAVE TO ASK....DID SHE PUSH HIS BUTTONS???? I WONDER IF HE WOKE UP THAT MORNING, SHRACTHED HIS HEAD, & SAID....I'M GONNA KILL HER TODAY!!!....SOMETHING SPARKED HIS ACTIONS.....I AM BY NO STRETCH, SAYING I CONDONE, OR AGREE WITH HIS ACTIONS, BUT....IT TAKES TWO TO FIGHT.

So far, my take on this is she "pushed his buttons" by deciding to move on with her life, without him in it.

it was a little intresting, but it's the same old story. Man kills wife, man goes to court, man goes to jail. This story doesn't even deserve to be posted on Newsday. It's pointless.

It wasn't her fault they gave him that bad haircut. Men blame women for everything.

We are not squirrels. To know someone in the Biblical sense means something.

And when it's over, it's over. Murder isn't an option. Some people just can't face the loss of control. Guess he showed her, huh.

It's so amazing how cruel and cold some of you can be. 15 years old is way too young to die.

I'd be shocked if the feeling wasn't mutual.

Wow - Bill... a bit harsh huh?? In any case NO one deserves to DIE because they don't want to be with another anymore.

Besides - Jimmy was a dirtbag in HS and now he's just an older (fatter) version of the loser he was back then.

Laurie was my son's sitter for severals years. I would not trust anyone else with him. We met when our sons were in tiger scouts. She was the nicest person you ever wanted to meet. To those who think laurie pressed HIS buttons....shame on you!!! Everyone is entitled to there oppions and points of view....They are NOT how ever entitled to be battered and brused because of it. As someonme who had regular contact with her, I begged her to leave, and gave her ideas on how to do so...NO ONE can make a person leave a battered relationship until that person is ready to do so.DO NOT CRITICISE HER CHOICE IN LIFE BUT CONDEM THE BATTERER TO HELL. And to those who think it was her fault...may she meet you at the pearly gates and CONDEM YOU TO HELL AS WELL.

Sometimes all it means is one or both of the participants made a big mistake. And it's never a license to stab someone to death.

How is your Christmas shopping coming along? This is a good day for doing a little bit more of it, and your eagle eyes will spot some interesting items if you're looking for unusual gifts. It might help to take someone along to keep you company or to arrange to meet them afterwards. You'll be inspired to write some letters to put inside your Christmas cards if you haven't already sent them off.
