Good afternoon to everyone! I hope you are enjoying the day the Lord has made! Be kind to someone in need of comfort. 1 Pet 5:6-7 has been on my mind lately..... "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"....Isn't it awesome to know that if you trust and believe in Jesus, He will carry you through anything when the time is right?

God has given us another great day to praise His name! Blessings to every one of you! Today I want to talk about the enemy who lurks around us. Take it as a compliment, because if you were not a threat to the enemy, he would not be trying to deceive you and take you down. 1 Peter also says to "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." I like what Paul wrote in the last chapter of Ephesians. He tells us to put on the full armor of God. With this armor and prayer we can defeat all of life's problems. Pray for someone today and let the Light shine!

I wanted to share something I got in an e-mail. It is good, even if you have read it many times before...

Good Monday Morning! I hope everyone had a blessed weekend. Personally, I was fortunate to be able to travel to Memphis to see the Passion Play at Bellevue Baptist. Wow! Jesus lived, died and rose again for me and all of you!

We all have prayer requests and needs every day of our lives whether for ourselves, family, friends or acquaintences. But it was put on my heart that so many among us do not know how to pray. Thank Jesus that he gave us a model. Variations of the following have become known as the Lord's Prayer. Matthew 6:9-13 NIV

"This then is how you should pray:
"'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'

If you are new to prayer this will certainly give you a great start. A great reminder to those who have been praying for years. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
