I hope Obama wins the Presidency. It's about time we had someone other than a lily white ass sitting in the white house.

I think America is slowly becoming a sinful, greedy nation. A nation bent on controlling every other country and who has forgotten its own poor. I'm afraid for the middle class.

I think Racism is alive and well. Just more hidden now because folks know its not as cool to be so open about it.

I "know" we are in a recession, regardless of what the white house officials state.

I wish Mayor Herenton (Mayor of Memphis, TN) would step down and let another Mayor take his place. He is divisive and his time is finished.

There is definately a lot of racism in the current job market and blacks are feeling the brunt of it.

I am starting to really be against illegal immigration. It is really hurting inner city blacks because from what I've noticed there is a flood of Mexicans and folks are hiring them over blacks.

I could go on but you can pick a subject.

Yolanda, you said you are starting to really be against illegal immigration because you feel like locally the Mexicans are being hired over the blacks. Well, how do you think the white man has felt for the past 50 years? You people scream "minority" all the time and get the better jobs and government help just because you're black. Now you're getting to see how we have been feeling for quite some time. That's life as long as justice is not served to get rid of the minority card that you people play on every hand. How does it feel to watch the Mexicans get the first interview for the job just because he/she is a Mexican? How does it feel to watch the Mexican buy a bus load of groceries on his/her food stand card that we are having to pay for? You all have done this for years as we have had to sit by and watch. Now, go and work hard at your job everyday and go and pay your taxes so the Mexicans can get more priviledges and you'll know how we have been feeling for years. Equality may never been seen again in this country, espcially if Obama Bin Laden takes office.

You will be happy to know that my boyfriend's job is FIRING all the illegal immigrants soon. That will be probably 400 job openings. The management is sad because the Mexicans work as testers and the rate they call in or don't show up is less than 1%, but the techs, who are mostly black with a few whites, have over 10% rate of call-ins.. Mexicans are usually here to work and not fuck around and slack off. They get the job done, and they do it right the first time, without bitching, whining and complaining..:)

You should go apply there, though. Like I said, 400 jobs! And it's in the city! South Memphis area.
