Then when I clean I rearrange the hangers to have tops in one section, slacks in another, etc. and I have always lined up my shoes toes facing out at the back of my closet as I taught my children to do when they came in from outside, heels against the wall and to this day when they come home, they say to their children heels against the wall.
At 5 years of age my children knew how to make a bed with the sheets on tight, and then together we would bounce a quarter off it to be sure it was made right.
My granddaughter comes in to help me sometines and I watched her make a bed and without even thinking she reached into her pocket took out a quarter and flipped it on the bed--She said my dad showed me this and I laughed because I had showed him.
I only had to remove all the blankets and sheets off the bed once and pile them in the centre of the floor and tell them to do it again when my children were young.

So glad you were not my mom, I had a neighbor friend and her mom was just like this, the girl was a mess while growing up...children are not in the service, do not train them like thye are. kids need to be kids also. And what does flipping a quarter on beds have to do with this topix

The article said the girl was just living with her father. No mother was in the home. What a sad situation. It has been almost 2 years now since it happened. I wonder how the girl is doing... hope she got counseling!

That's BULL T! I know her mother had some kinda clue something wasn't right,just knowing your own daughter behavior change and where the HELL,was dad at dont he know who the hell is in his home he is suspose to be protecting his family.

Yes I do know that a few months later Dad barricaded himself in his home and the Police SWAT teat had to storm in and get him before he killed somebody. that pretty much says all about why this happened.

From the time I was a small child until I was 13 years old I was sexually abused by my stepfather. He threatened to hurt my mother if I ever told, no one had any idea it was happening until I finally told someone. To much we don't know to cast blame on the parents and especially the child. I doubt he was under the bed 24 hours a day. He is the bad person here. I will be PRAYING for the child, she will have to deal with this her entire life.

This was a boyfriend of hers that she had living under her bed so Daddy would not find out about the relationship. I doubt she was scared to death. But I do agree that the comments made by the other person was out of line and ignorant.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this! Do you have any advice about how to get kids to tell us if something this way is happening to them?
