i thoroughly read about Dre's predicament. I am outraged that a so called pet control officer by the name of r. rodriguez has:
1) frightened and cornered a family pet
2) actually THREATENED a woman and CALLED her home with threats!
3) hurts little chidren who love their pet with NO prior violations.
I can't even call him an officer, i do have a few other choice words which i shall not say at this time.
I tried to reach the mayor's office, however, that site is not accepting any more correspondence!
I don't know how they can place this beautiful pet's fate in the hands of a so-called public servant who has sworn an oath to serve and protect.
What is his fate for actually threatening a woman and phoning her home!!! Is he above the law? Is he drinking the bad koolaid as holmes must have prior to his killing spree!
something definaltely has to be done not only for the dog's sake, but the protection of your citizens as well.
I have been to your great state many of time, this is so WRONG!
Thank you for listening. please help reunite this frightened pet with his owner and as the mayor's office won't accept any more e-mail correspondence, i as well as my family and friends and pet lover's nationwide will do things the old-fashioned way, we will actually write letters to him as well as Colorado's other constituents.
Again, thank you!

once again, pit nutters, who insist its not the breed, its the owner...refuse to acknowledge key facts:
1. The irresponsible owner let the pit bull out.
2. The pit bull met up with a doberman named Machomotto, who was also let out by another irresponsible owner (apples to apples at this point, right?)
3. The pit bull growled and chased a woman into her house...the Doberman did nothing.
4. The pit bull (but not the doberman) chased two garbage haulers back into the truck.
5. Police & animal control easily fed treats to only the doberman, which was friendly...the pit bull was not, per all 4 officers.
6. it took both animal control officers and several other officers to catch the dog, which was aggressively lunging at people and snapping at them.
There has been a big fuss made about nobody has been injured and thats true there were no injuries, nobody was treated. But the lady who was chased into the house had the dog snarling and growling at her. It brushed the back of her leg just before she got away and left drool on her leg, Bradley said. This was not a dog that was standing 10 feet away and barking at somebody or standing 10 feet away and making a calm, dont-come-any-closer growl.
According to Bradley, the Doberman has been released to the owner as it is not a problem animal. He said unfortunately the situation developed and the decision was made that the mixed-breed dog had presented very strong aggressive tendencies and was a threat.
We dont wait for somebody to be hurt before we address a traffic issue, we dont wait for a bomb to blow up before we address a bomb threat, Bradley said. When we see a threat to the public, we address it as quickly as we can to protect public safety.
Worth noting: In 2008 the city of Brighton rejected the idea on banning pit bulls...it was the Brighton police department and Brighton animal Control that rejected the idea.
So now when the same police and animal control departments have 4 officers (2 each) that say the pit bull was aggressive, pit nutters lash out at them.
A pit nutter will defend any pit bull, till death to they part. Google Darla Napora - an avid pit bull nutter / defender, who moved from Yakima, WA to Pacifica, CA due to Yakima's BSL pit bull ban. She wanted to prove it was the owner, not the breed. She slept with her pit bull, and insisted on BADRAP group she belonged to - the San Francisco Bay Area association that insists pit bulls get an unfair bad rap...last year Darla was gruesomely mauled to death by her pit bull...it also ripped and ate her unborn child right out of her....Her husband Greg Napora, insisted it was a fluke...refused to blame the pit bull...in fact, he had the pit bull buried in the same casket as Darla...no doubt, Darla's pit bull is still just "licking her to death" as you read this.
The police department has been flooded with 37,000 calls and emails from pit bull nutters demanding they release the pit bull.

Paula, the only research you did was by consulting other pit nutter web sites.
