BUGSH1T!!! EVERY American tax payin' government buiding SHOULD have the American Flag up (Proudly) with lights on it 24/7/365!

The excuse of "maintenance issues" is just another liberal attack on America!

I think this is crazy. First off, I live right by the new library. Our taxpayer $$$ goes into building an outdated way of life. The last time I went to a library, there was maybe 10 people in there. I didn't vote for this library funding because I feel that there is a lot more that our taxes can go towards that better fits the needs of this community. People can read anything they want on the internet. Now this Library District disrespects the very people that paid for this build and pay their salaries. I think the Mayor of Thornton or Adams Co should require a flag to be flown.

Sounds fishy? Where are the real journalists searching for answers? Sounds like you just eat the BS they feed you and report it without question? Not even a Colorado flag? Im American and proud of it!

Your story about the Libraries and not flyking the the U.S. Flag.
YKour video with the story showed 3 flags flying out front of a library. Who ever hoisted thoses flags to half staff had the U.S. Flag out of order!! The U.S. Flag is always on its own right, meaning everyother flag is to its left!! Check your video! Along with flying the U.S. Flag comes Flag etiquette. Fly her but fly her correctly.

Has Thornton caught Obamaitis?

What a shame that it's deemed too inconvenient to fly our flag.

Boycott our beloved library. Send them a message.
We love and want to represent our American flag.

Its inconvenient? So, what do you call all those men and women fighting for our rights? So, what is it called when they lose their life for us? Do you think they are thinking about what's convenient for them? Probably not!!

I just sent them an e-mail stating my disapproval for this dicision. What they are saying basically is that they do not have anyone working for them that is willing to pull a cord up and down each day! Its not like we expect one of their employees to raise and lower the flag on their own time. What a horrible excuse not to show respect for this country!

Hmm. Since some library people don't bother to string up our US Flag, it is only fitting that the people string up a few library people...That would send a message up to the White House about disrespect for our flag and to the REPUBLIC ( NOT SOCIAL DEMOCRACY ) for which it stands..

Vote for an increase in taxes and they will have the money to fly the flag. I would much rather have them buy books over flying the flag.

How about you donate what you are willing to pay in extra taxes and then the problem is solved

I guess they don't need a job. Find someone who does. Then send the old workers out to find another job since jobs are so plentiful.

The administration at these libraries are lucky that the voters agreed to raise taxes so that the libraries could be constructed. That's right folks, American taxpayers paid for these buildings and it is sickening that the American Flag cannot be displayed there. Use any excuse they want, but it appears that they have forgotten what this country is all about. Maybe they need to read some of their own history books to learn the real meaning of displaying our flag. What a disgrace!

Too much maintenance? Then if they love the flag so much each librarian can take turns putting up and taking down the flag each day. We did that in elementary school, it was an honor to do that!

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,180,000 American soldiers were "inconvenienced." The graves of these young Americans surround the globe.

A respectful and proper display of the American Flag is the least we can do.

And I do not care who it "offends." Those who find displaying the American flag offensive need to find another country or return to the country they came from.

We all know what this is about.

And to DL: "Jingo?" Yougoddam right!

And I cannot find a better country to be jingoistic about.

Leave it to an O'Bama supporter to not want to respect the flag.

Can't say I'm surprised. They hate our country.

The story says that Adams County citizens complained about the missing flags. In reality it was the current Republican candidate for County Commissioner that made the complaint. He is using the media to gain free political leverage, and you are all falling for it. The Commisioners do not have any say in the day to day library decisions. No more than the current Thornton mayor has. He is the one making this an issue, if you don't already know that. Wake up an pay attention.
