Anyone ever wonder how, or why, Lincoln didn't do squat about the Civil War until Fort Sumpter was fired upon?
How was it that thousands of rebel troops were allowed to train, wear uniforms and practice how to attack the North and Lincoln sat on his hands, until Fort Sumpter was fired on?
Can you imagine if in parts of the country if armys were being formed and uniformed and Washington did nothing?
I'll tell you why, Lincoln knew what was coming waited until it hit the fan and then all hell broke loose! Why, he just waited for the rebs to make their move to give him the legal authority to go to war with the South whose cotton, steel and textiles, were needed by the North. Make sense?

As we get closer to the election, think about my post. Notice the degree of hostility that has not been seen in American history, heats up, mostly based on race. Who, or what is the cause of what amounts to class warfare, the "have's and have nots", etc., in a word, Obama.
To my Blacks friends, your hero has been the most devisive person I can thnk of to occupy the White House, I can think of. "A house devided against itself, cannot stand". This, NONE of us need. Our local "economy" is going down the pot and al people canc do is play political games and devide people. Sad!

IMHO Lincoln should never have been elected, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He left us with some mess.

I agree! As far as I am concerned, Lincoln, lke Obama, are highly over rated! Thanks to both of these administrations, past and present, look at the shape our country is in now. If Lincoln could come back from the dead, do you really believe he would be as gunho for what he strongly believed in then? I don't think so! Washington, like all our major cities, are hoods and crime infested hellholes nobody would not only would like to live in, but raise a family and and establish a business!
