Randolph sees surge in youth violence
“As a community, we have to have a strong show of force to let them know we're not going to tolerate it”
As afternoon rush-hour traffic buzzed by on Route 28 last month, a bullet tore through Ezekiel Cuthbert's body as he walked by a gas station. via The Boston Globe

don't blame anyone but the parents...if they did their job and took responsibility for their kids these things wouldn't be happening.

Amen Ed! Corrupt politicians, lax judges, lazy cops, and complacent parents = bad kids.

1 And are they Legal? If I remember correctly, the violent crimes in Randolph were committed by black, hispanic and illegal kids! And yes... Blame the parents and authority! |
I think the comment made previously was rude and disrespectful, he (Cuthbert)was walking down the street, he did not deserve to die. I think that it is the responsibility of the police as someone stated earlier to make the streets more safe. This is an issues that cannot be ignored, I went to school with John Lubin also a another victim, I was close to Livey Bennett (a victim of gun violence in 2003). I dont think its a matter of the parents not being resposible for their kids its a problem with gun violence among youth that has been prevalent for a long time, just not visible until very recently in randolph. But their are countless children that have lost their lives because of this : Jermaine Goffigan, Trina Persad, Dakeem Galloway and there are countless others killed while walking down the street while playing in parks, enjoying their child hood or trying to, but this was at no fault of their parents so before addressing blame please look at fully at the issue. |

who are you? your from georgia and I'm pretty sure your crime rate is a little higher down there so don't preach up north here. Randolph police can't stop a spur of the moment shooting. It's the kids they're reckless abandons. Everyone tries being a gangster |

"I dont think its a matter of the parents not being resposible for their kids its a problem with gun violence among youth"
"but this was at no fault of their parents so before addressing blame please look at fully at the issue" Let me get this right, it's not the parents fault for not watching their kids, but it's the guns fault for letting the kids pull the triggers? Please tell me you don't have any children, I'm getting nervous. |

'the truth" u are a bitch and if anybody see's this person in tha street u should jus beat the shit outta them so they can have there own blog on this website .. holla |

I am from randolph didnt I mention in my comment that I knew john lubin and attended school with him? when did I ever mention georgia? Or did you even read my post before you started to speak? |

the police arent doing their job ? do you expect police to approach every single kid walking down the street and search them ? NO
HOWEVER police need to crack down on gun violence Parents are partially responisble for crimes that are occuring with teens today .. parents should be aware of who their child is associated with and better yet raise them to RESPECT and not to result to fatal occurings and show carelessness to their childs behaviors.. RACE IS IRRELEVANT ..crimes happen with any color race age .. it doesnt matter.. and as for anyone who wants to ask if they're "legal" ..someone should talk to YOUR parents on the way they raised you .. because thats carelessness and straight humiliation on your parents behalf .. im from randolph and i was raised to respect everyone .. some of these comments are absolutely ridiculous and some of you should be ashamed of yourselves |

start thinking of the ones who lost their loved ones instead of worrying about what nationality the killer was

i went to skewl with ezekiel(the victim) and malcom(the shooter) and to me this all just doesnt make sense. people are involved in confromations everyday in randolph but malcom jus took it to far by shooting ezekiel.i mean if he was so mad he shouldve just fought him instead,im not saying dats a gud thing but malcom wouldnt end up in jail and ezekiel wouldnt end up dead.

They are not sleeping in THEIR cars and they are NOT putting guns in youths hands...it is a general lack of MORALITY, an over abundance of one parent homes, and self pity, that produce these tragic murders and revenge murders. TRY BEHAVING YOUSELVES! NO MORE CRACK BABIES! |

Randolph, MA is a beautiful place. "Patriot of
East Weymouth, MA" is very simply a racist, nothing more, nothing less. To think that violence is going to remain in certain places (i.e. I never thought that would happen here) is foolish and wishful thinking. People commit acts of violence and they come in ALL colors. There are violent people and there are people defending themselves against violence. It is long past being just a problem and as long as it remains in certain communities its not a problem to some. Young people are fed a diet of violence. Its on tv, the music they listen to, the video games they play. So now everyones pissed off because they have become what they have been exposed too daily for the past twenty years! Yes parents are responsible for their children. Many of them are. And don't forget many of them moved out here to give their children a better life and to get away from the violence. What amazes me, no sickens me is certain people who are so terminally ignorant that they think that "non-colored" people DO NOT commit crimes. Yes they do and probably worse, and probably on your own street. PLEASE take your head out of your posterior and make sure you raise your own children right. Every person of color is NOT a criminal or have criminal intent. |
