If you can support them all, have as many as you like.

The population of the earth isn't replacing itself any longer anyway.

Anyone who keep having kids they can't afford doesn't need sympathy. They are just greedy ,sick in the head people. Octo Mom should have DSS remove All her children as she is very unfit. No job no husband and a Doctor who should be disbarred for this.Welfare and a free ride while all these children suffer from neglect. Kids need love any with so many someone suffers.
Nomore free help for Octo mom let her start paying her hospital bill and buying cribs and things her self. Don't feel sorry for her.

I only had one baby, but the schedule, the BJ's membership and who can help with what were all things that helped. Doesnt' matter if you have 1 or 10.

Yup - a predicted population decline in Europe and a modest gain in North America, versus Africa and Asia growing much quicker.

Forget BJ's. You're lucky to have anybody get you anything up high if you need a forklift to get it down. Better to got to Sam's, Costco or a regular Wal-Mart.

You cannot even compare the Notini family to the woman with the octuplets. They are a husband and a wife who can well afford their children. They made the choice together. He has a job. It was an informed choice. They take care of their own kids.

and there is the big difference between them. "Octo-mom" should never have had this recent crop of kids. As an unmarried, unemployed young woman, 14 kids is just too much.
And lets also look at a few other things that make these two families different: Octo-mom had 8 at once, and the Notini family had them well spaced out. There is a support system that Lisa Notini had, that Octo-mom doesn't. Octo-mom's own MOTHER was on TV saying it was a bad idea, which leads me to believe that there is some tension at home that these babies are going to be brought up with, not to mention the OTHER 6 kids under the age of 8 that have to deal with it.
Octo-mom's father thinks its great. Why? I am sure he is seeing dollar signs and book and movie deals...
Her Mother thinks its a bad idea.
She is unmarried, so has no spousal support or assistance.
She lives at home with her parents, so is burdening them as well with all of these kids, which brings even more tension to the equation.
She isn't working, and didn't finish her schooling to GET a good job
She is barely more than a kid herself. Just 23 years old.
She supposedly has a back issue, which will make carrying children difficult
She has 6 other children that must be feeling this whole thing too
The chances of these kids being neglected and/or abused is really high.
She loves kids. That's what she says. Well, I love kids too, but you don't see me making my own football team.

it is extremely irresponsible of both the doctor and Octo-mom. This should never have happened. Makes me wonder what was in it for the doctor. Was he expecting money for interviews?

Anchor babies, where's the outrage?

By Alfred Pond

Like many, I too am upset over the decisions made by the mother of the octuplets, not to mention the lack of ethics of her doctor.

It does amaze me however the national attention and this story has gotten.

I have heard and read a number of stories regarding the mother and children, and while they express concern for the children the stories all point out the enormous cost that taxpayers will have to shoulder.

This being said, why is there not similar outrage for the enormous cost of anchor babies born to illegal immigrants in this country and the impact to taxpayers.

California alone reports $5 billion dollars to support illegal immigrants last year. Nationally, who knows what the number is, and sadly no one seems to care.

Not to worry: Our new president/king and his court of jesters have all the answers and will save us. Four billion dollars of the “Spendulus Bill” is earmarked (oops! sorry there are no earmarks) will be made available for Medicare in California.

Gee, I wonder where that will go? Wake up America.

What are people thinking having way too many kids..... I don't care if your single or married... 2 kids should be the limit.. I mean people don't think..... If the kids get sick, all the homework and keeping up with it, clothes, dr appointments and the orthodontist...

..plus all the worring when they go out with friend and get cars..... I have 2 and its a lot of work and worry , worrying about 2 any more then that..its crazy .. plus 99% of the people don't live like the Waltons where grandma and grandpa live there etc... all the help...

They world is over populated as it is....2 children are enough MAX

Go read some population stats, the world's population is dwindling and not "overpopulated". Don't speak unless you're intelligent enough to stick a fact in there somewhere.

Does anyone care about my personal problems? Does anyone want to pay for them?

"Fourteen children is a beautiful thing in a lot of ways," said Baker. "My heart goes out to her"

Hey, send her a check. The woman (Suleman) is mentally unstable and the kids should be taken from her. My sympathy is with her parents, not with her.
