I listened to the speech live. He is a wonderful speaker.

However, he threw his grandmother under the bus, all in the interest of being elected.

He was sworn in on a Bible, unlike the senator from Michigan who was sworn in on a Koran. This goes without saying that only 5%-10% of muslims are fundamentalist and hate America. In fact, you can find three times as many pictures of Bush holding hands with Muslims (the House of Saud) than Obama, guaranteed.

If you really are a racist, a bigot, and an idiot, then vote for McCain. He will raise your taxes (he only provides tax cut for those who make more than 250,000), cut/ raise the cost of your health care, send your kids to die in an illegal war (after all, its not the rich kids fighting in Iraq), and continue the destruction of the American economy by sending jobs to Latin America.

Furthermore, where is the talk about John McCain. He throws leaders of other countries to the ground and screams at them if they disagree with him. Check your facts and stop listening to Fox News and believing McBush's lies and you'll see that Obama will only raise taxes on those who makes $250,000 and more, including himself. That means under a Obama Presidency, 95% of America (those who make less than $250,000) will see their taxes decrease. McCain, the real flip flopper, plans to make the tax cuts permanent for the rich that he once (when he had self-respect) vehemently opposed. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with being rich. I just think that people who can afford to pay more in taxes should be taxed at the same rate as those who cant afford to pay as much....it truly is ridiculous that those who make more than 250,000 only pay 10-15% whereas those who make less pay closer to 25-30%.

Doesn't sound fair to me. But, then again, neither is stealing an election, launching an illegal war, smearing two legitimate veteran political candidates (McCain in 2000, Kerry in 2004), or demolishing healthcare, education, and social security as the Republicans seem determined to do.

If you support a Republican, you have no right to complain about anything that is going wrong in this country right now...everything from gas prices, healthcare, education, foreign policy, or any of the dozens of other items that Republicans have so badly botched over the past 8 years that have pushed this country to the brink of true destruction.

Well, not sure if he is the "anti-christ" but I have seen more about him being Muslim and possibly someone who has ulterior motives. Never have I heard what he means by change? Can any of his supporters supply a link to that on here? Hmm, didn't think so or it would be here already. Just the fact that there is some uncertainty about his past and proposals is cause enough to have reservations about voting for him. I want to leave here with just one very sensible comment to those choosing him due to race. First all, Bunnie, you live in Connecticut, a state that Obama will win by 10-15 points despite the help of the traitor Lieberman who supports McCain even though he stands against everything Lieberman has ever accomplished.

Second, the change that Obama will bring will be a change from everything that Bush has done to this country. That means:

-A fair tax system that places the tax system equally on the rich and the poor.
-A more comprehensive healthcare program where healthcare is a human right and made available to every American, instead of denied to over 140 million Americans.
-The end of an illegal war that costs $5,000 a minute and has only made America less safe due to the number of terrorists and anger in the Middle East it has created. Even today, Iraq asked for a time table for American troops to leave, realizing the danger we pose there for themselves.
-The end of a foreign policy that refuses to negotiate with all threats to America. Did Kennedy refuse to negotiate with Kruschev? Did Reagan refuse to negotiate with Gorbachev? No, and Obama will return the tradition of using all options to achieve foreign policy success, first and most importantly, diplomacy.
-The return of positive relations with our long-standing European allies, the relations with which have become tense due to our elitist and unilateral attitude set forth by the administration.
-The end of "No Child Left Behind," an education policy that, while respectable in title, has completed gutted the authority of teachers, administrations, and school boards, and lowered the academic standing of American students in math and science compared to their counterparts in India and China.
-The end of unfair trade agreements that reward billion-dollar US NGOs for shipping American jobs overseas while the job market tanks here.
-The end of the influence of special interests in the White House, especially the role of Big Oil in determining foreign policy vis a vis the Iraq War. After all, if Saddam is gone and there are no WMD, why are we there? OIL.
-The end of the use of fear to intimidate Americans into allowing its leaders to abuse the trust based on Locke's Social Contract to pursue foreign and domestic goals that benefit only 3% of the nation's population.

These are just some of the changes that Obama will bring. And, for all those who are stupid enough to still think he is a Muslim, consider his policy toward Iran, where after the failure of diplomacy it is the most military extreme and aggressive of any candidate or current figure, including Bush. It truly commits his resolve to pursuing a policy of peace through aggressive diplomacy and smart military use instead of the opposite of both, as Bush as demonstrated for the past 8 years in Iraq and Afghanistan, and as McCain wants to continue.
