Unbelievable. This Gaming Board and the PA Gaming Industry is in crisis. To have the good people of this state in a position where they are forced to accept a power play for a failing deal without due process allowing the previous qualifying applicants to consider is unconscionable, and totally unacceptable.

The feds need to step into this state administration with a full investigation of their practices, like yesterday. Additionally, Tom Corbett, despite the great bonusgate results, should return in full the campaign donation from Louis Denaples. If for no other reason that to squelch any doubt about his objectivity and actions in regard to that situation. Sometimes principles are not about what the law requires you do, but about the reasonable interpretation of one's actions.

Time for the good people of PA to rise and insist on the clean up of this administration. It is an embarrassment to our sensibilities, to our state and country. People are leaving PA and the state residents are getting older and older. What legacy is this leaving our generations? What impact is this rendering to our state economy? Where is the leader who will provide opportunity bringing new investment, sound investors and business into this state? We have opportunities that the administration destroys... at what cost? who is accountable?

The time for honoring this blood-sucking industry, will soon be at an end, and all those CASINO PIMPS who make their living squabbling for the scraps from the CASINO PREDATORS table will be held accountable.

Open this video link and check out Gov. Rendell who in November 2006 supported the idea of casinos sending monthly statements. In December 2006 Gov. Rendell doesn't want to address monthly statements. June 2007 Gov. Rendell tap dances around when asked to give one safeguard or provision in our Gaming Law that address the compulsive gambling problem before one becomes addicted. He invites me to contact him and I try numerous times, but to no avail. June 2008 Governor Rendell says this is the first time he has heard of legislation that would make the casino operators mail out monthly statements.

Mary Collins had more double speak than the Aflaq Duck on TV Yesterday. If anyone could understand her answers it wasn't the questioners or Orie who came a hair short of telling her there is a lot of impropriety that sounds illegal between Dwight Evans and the PBGC by making deals over the phone and away from any committee.

This is the same PBGC and BIE that should be disbanded for "stupid". They answer questions that twist the facts around and try to make our legislators look like they are the ones that don't understand the process they have to go through.

We understand what your doing and it's a diversion to throw the truth away from your MOB connections that go all the way up to Rendell. Smaller words and less legalese(distraction) would make it very clear that you should all be thrown out with the legislators that are making the deals with you.

The questioner I referred to in the above post was Stae Senator Jane Clare Orie of the 40th District Of Allegheny and Butler Counties. Smart Gal. A little too smart for the PBGC doublespeak . As time goes on more people will be questioning the motives of this gaming board and it will be brought out that they are nothing but two bit gamblers that are trying to muscle their way into controlling gaming in PA.

I don't understand why any time needs to "go on". The PGCB has proven their incompetence beyond the shadow of any doubt. They remain in power only through the protection of a corrupt Governor and the corrupt legislators, like Mellow for example, who protect them.

It is long overdue for a federal investigation on this matter. The people are angry and frustrated at the ongoing expense these boobs are costing us. The gaming licensing needs to be suspended pending investigation and the board replaced with clean professionals. We've lived without the tax relief this long, we can live without until it can be provided through a clean process and in a manner that truly benefits the PA economy with infusion of new business. What we have right now seems no more than a reward system for Rendell's buddies and those who paid high campaign contributions. That is conflicting to the growth of new free enterprise within the guide of Act 71 legislation.

Lets hope with friends like Piccola and Orie they are starting to get to the gut questioning that will bring our corrupt State and the activities that preceeded the Pay grab, slots license hand outs, bonus gate, and more . We patiently await for the many more arrests that AG Corbett promised would be coming.
Worked an ealy shift and will check the site later.
Peace!

We're already paying through our nose Arnold ,and the sucking sound you here are our wallets being emptied by all the crooked gamers in Harrisburg.

Sounds of impropriety ? Come on Jane Clare , these people are so crooked when they die they'll have to be nailed in a coffin.

It's about time Orie did something other than take up space. Now that the PGCB politics are hitting close to home, she's feeling the heat.

This board needs to be stopped. The PA citizen needs to state loud and clear, no mas. We've survived this long with no tax relief from gaming, so we can survive the years it takes to get this horrible situation righted.

Where is our AG and federal government on this "deal"?

That was the first time I saw Jane Orie E and I did think she was pretty cool in the questioning of the Gaming board member who's name I can't remember ?

She came close enough to Dwight evans and The PGCB"thx for cor the init"of being in collusion with this gaming cluster ****. That means more money out of the taxpayer pocket and as you guessed I was against this from day one and never believed the average person would see any tax relief .

Notice the AG's arrests in bookmaking, roulette, numbers and other
illegal gambling activities, mostly around Philly and Jersey.

If any other honest person was asked to be on the Gaming Commission or PGCB
they would have to go to MOB school? How else would you learn how to rip off the people if you never were in it illegaly ?

Now I'm going to Orie's site and check out her accomplishments

Ok I was thinking of Jane Earll, not Orie, my apologies to Orie who seems diligent about her work on gaming oversight.

Earll is still on her butt, doing nothing.

That made me laugh, I thought of the Dixie chicks song about Earl . I think I was lucky enough to switch channels at the right time. I'll concede halfway right about Earle . She was Goodbye Earle while I was tuned in unless I missed some of it.

Orie was good and I hope she gets better. Don't even accept attaboys from Rendell Jane Clare or you get suckered into the jaws of de feet.

To Bill Kearney,

Do you have anything you can put up about jane Orie questioning the male member of the gaming commission yesterday on july 24th. I'm not computer literate enough to do it ? I think every one would be interested in what direction she is heading?

Instead, they implored the gaming board simply to revoke Barden's $50 million casino license, and offer it up to a new group of competing applicants -- a process that could take a year to complete.

>>>This is the route to go, but it should revert back to the original group of bidders as the Barden and DeNaples casino authorization process were rigged.

I also like how Rendell has his buddy Keating in on construction projects out in Pittsburgh. They couldn't find a construction manager out in Western PA?

This is same Keating Construction that was construction manager over a defectively built casino garage in Atlantic City that collapsed and killed a few people.

Way to go Eddie, taking care of your own and now the next one you want to push down the pipe illegally is Neal Bluhm.

There's a new story on this in today's Pgh. Gazette that says the PGCB will lose control of the license should this project go into bankruptcy. This is further justification for separation of the license from the hard asset. The PGCB should be working with the Gov to talk to Credit Suisse (since Ed likes to insert himself into deals, and talk so much) to extend the foreclosure term, then open the casino to the original set of applicants (all who had suitability for licensing), including Bluhm. Or, at the very least, the board could appeal to each of those applicants for interest prior to making this decision. Either way, the Board should get this project back on its feet, then every one of them, including the Governor should step down. They were WELL informed of Barden's financial challenges, and yet they licensed him despite his poor track record. The Bluhm deal with Rendell/Keating does not shock me, since it is looking increasingly unlikely Bluhm will see a Philadelphia casino on his riverfront site, if any site in the city, anytime soon. Basically this is a peace branch for Bluhm, who has to be frustrated over the lost investment dollars of the stalled Philly plan. Meanwhile, Barden's $50million bond should be forfeit, shutting the trap of Onato, while the board rights this mess. Meanwhile, this situation is bringing to the forefront, just how weak and incompetent the PGCB and the Governor are as business people in the gaming industry. It also demonstrates how deeply entwined the politics really are in the PGCB's system. None of them are qualified to take on a deal of this magnitude, all of them are dirty with the PGH fiasco providing all the justification needed for ousting these people and suspending further licensing in this state. Many professional industry consultants, such as those from Spectrum Gaming predicted issues arising from PA's politically laden approach to gaming, and here we are.... Time for this group of incompetents to go.
