Could it be that Bobby Rita would lend his support to Mr. Vargas? Mr.Vargas is good friends Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez. That is if Fred Bilotto doesn't run. Jenko with the Mayor's support would easily take those votes in the 4th and 5th Ward which have the highest vote tallies in the Island. However, Rep Rita has a sizable vote in the 2nd, 3rd and 7th Wards. Plus, Mr. Vargas would take most of the Latino vote. A race between Jenko and Vargas would be very tight and might get ugly. Let the games begin.

I heard Cantello has decided to run for mayor. If that is true he has my vote.

Don't want to mention him by name, but he has been a 7th ward alderman for about 20 years, and I've lived in this ward longer than that. Can anyone tell me one thing he has EVER done for his ward? I'd really like to know. He is invisible in this ward, and pretty useless in BI as far as I can tell. Please tell me anything he's done.

I would not vote for Jenkins. He is nothing but a follower and can't make his own decisions. He would be another Peloquin puppet. I say get them all out. Anyone associate with the inability to think on their own.

What have either Jenko or Vargas done since they have been elected? Really, come on!!!
Let's elect someone who has at least accomplished something for the community. I don't think that's asking too much.

Wasn't it Bobby Rita and his cronies that challenged Cantelo's petitions two years ago for the park board??????

Stay clear of the dropout politician that physically abuses women Ray. You don't need Bobby! People are finally tiring of machine politics that get people like him into office.

DEFINITELY NOT JANKO. HE DOESN'T HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL. WE NEED A MAYOR WITH COMPASSION AND NOT SOMEONE WHO WILL STILL DANCE TO PELOQUINS TUNE.

Hell I'll go along with that! Besides Jenko has got bags of impudent ego. The only thing that this clown has that's really holding him back is the Black & Hispanic community can't stand the arrogant SOB. And neither does Allan Stevo which goes big in my book. Jenko tools around in that Vette of his thinking he's the next Capo of BI. If he didn't have a bum heart, we on the Eastside would spit in his face. We know what he thinks of us. Vargas is not such a bad guy. At least he's an honest officer of the court and has friends at the Cook County States Attorneys Office. Something to think about when the Feds come looking around for Don Peloquin , Pam Frasor & others.

I know that Jenko campaigned and stood up for 130 when the city was going to abolish the crossing guards. He also helped with the Kaboom project at kiddie korral, he was on many planning calls and participated in the public input for equipment selection he cares about the community.

Honest officer of the court? Friends in the States Attorney's office? What does either one of those things have to do with anything? He's been in his position for 20 years. Please, someone, name one thing he's done for his ward or BI.
