Senior or Retirement Community

Does anyone recommend any communities in Florissant? My mother is battling Stage 4 cancer, only 62 and we just found out. I need to move her closer to me but don't have room in our home. I read bad things about Delmar Gardens..not sure about the other communities. Any advice appreciated. She could probably even do a 1 bedroom apartment as long as it's 1 level and no steps going up to it. Safety is a big factor...

place. The rate for a 1 bedroom with bath and living area was 1500 a month the last time I checked. That includes utilities and the access to their courtesy van transportation. They have 24/7 security and allow tours daily, you just need to call for an appointment first. My mother-in-law was a resident for a few years and really enjoyed living there.
Delmar Gardens is pretty costly and someone I know who tried it hated it. They were upset because people there (don't know about the staff) were very unfriendly. And this lady is a nice, clean outgoing person.
*Please ignore all the nasty responses you will likely get. St Catherine Retirement facility is extremely well run and very secure.
