Definitely a flawed study. Studying people who live there now does not take into account the mass exodus to St. Charles about 10 years ago, not to mention the study isn't looking at those of us who lived in the area from the 70s to the 90s... the population that is experiencing the higher than average cancer rates. Cancer isn't the only thing happening, either.... 3 sets of conjoined twins in 1000 people, when the rate of that happening is normally 1 in 100,000? Cleft palates, multiple sclerosis... and many other issues, not only in those of us that grew up there during that time, but in our children, as well. High rates of birth defects ranging from cleft palates and club feet to autism and learning disabilities. Several children had their thyroids removed due to cancer before the age of ten! A new study, aimed at gathering *relevant* data is called for.
If you grew up in North St. Louis County, get more information here https://www.facebook.com/ColdwaterCreek and please fill out the online survey so we can gather the correct data!
