Lambert is dying because the city and the airport directors cant seem to understand that with the highest gate fees NO ONE will come... The airport is a wreck and should have been rebuilt many many years ago rather than waiting 30 years for a runway project that is of little value.....

But it is a BAD airport - ever been in there during a rain storm and see all of the buckets catching the leaks? Ever see the mismatched carpet tiles. Ever wondered why the only airline growing is Southwest (they have a newer terminal). St. Louis is doing what it has always done best - being left in the past by more progressive airports and communities that understand the value of their airport.

We might not have them for long. They want a brand new stadium at the city expense and if they don't get it. They might get sold or bail out. It's coming, just not quickly.

Lambert is a dead duck. American bought out TWA and scraped it. No toher carriers will move in because American bullies them. American treats their passingers like cattle, their bags get bammaged and it no big deal, they get bumpped of flights no big deal, get put on tonka toy size planes where the pilots make a 12.00 a hour starting, and pushed to all limits, So as a result let AA die., Ill fly SOUTHWEST, and im a Continental AIrline Retiree.

The article writes how Trans States Airlines provides regional flight service for American where in fact they do not and have not done so for almost a year now.

You also failed to mention about Lambert's high gate fees which do not help in attracting more airlines into Saint Louis.
