Lawmakers' tempers flare over ethics bill
Divisions among lawmakers on legislation that would take away the pensions of corrupt officials became apparent Thursday when a state senator crashed a Capitol complex news conference.

Pensions are vested rights... that's the entire concept of a pension... vested tights are just that... vested... if a corrupt official is canned, divest from the start of the corruption... not prior. remember, the other vbictims are the spouses and children

Just so typical of the Democrats in the state legislature bending over for the state employees unions. And I'm sure that the great majority of the state employees would agree with the legislation revoking the pensions of employees. Its the union leadership that will fight it to the death.

Leave the pension as is but double the jail time. Corrupt officials should be placed in with the general inmate population.
