I've been a devoted eater of Mario's Pizza on High Ridge since I was a little kid. I've tried pizza all over Stamford, including most of the places on the Stamford Pizza Tour, and I always come back to Mario's. A lot of it depends on what you grew up on. People are as loyal to pizza as they are to sports teams (maybe more loyal in some cases!).

No matter who the winner is, I love living in a town where we aren't forced to choose between Domino's and Papa John's. Perish the thought.

JaneDough, that's because there has always been a major Italian population in Stamford, and a proud one at that. If all of these pizza joints are flourishing, that means there's room for all of them. Enjoy it.

I love Colony, and Springdale Pizza.
Anyone remember Cipri's on the West Side? The Brass Rail? Poseidon in Springdale on Hope Street? Those were slammin' pizzas!

1. Michael's Pizza (Cove Rd) Supreme, or Sausage and Onion - Service #1
2. Colony- Stinger and Hot Sauce Service # down right rotten, used to be at least funny with the old owners...don't chip the china as Fritz would say..
3. Nick's Pizza- Cheese service #3
4. Villa Itaila (E. Main St.)Margarita Serivce# 2

And that is just the way the pizza rolls out best in Stamford.

Growing up in Stamford, there is and was only one place to get pizza, COLONY GRILL!! Perfect thin crust pizza every time. Nothing beats it. Now that I live up the line, we always make a trip down to Stamford to have pizza at the Grill.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Sagittarius

A loved one gets hold of the wrong end of the stick today, causing endless hassle and fuss. They're likely to get upset in the process, so you have to calm them down, and that could lead to a squabble. You may also have to cope with discord when discussing family matters, with certain people getting bogged down in daft details that you think have nothing to do with the main issue.
