I can not believe this is happening in Bridgeport. I often go for midnight walks and I am taken back of the beautiful surroundings. What a wonderful place to rise a family.

That's what I was thinking!
Do you really expect anyone to give info to cops for fear of being labeled a "snitch"? What happened is extremely disturbing, and it's unfortunate that with all the witnesses present, no one will come forward to help this family.
May GOD bless and protect her family, and help them get justice!

That's what happens when lowlife thugs are on the loose. Trouble is, there are so many out there. No education, no morals, no decency -- just cowards using gunplay. They're just pieces of trash taking up space. Prayers to that poor woman's family. Hope someone brave comes forward to help nail these scumbags.

She should have been home and not out at a bar in that disgusting neighborhood at 1am! If she lived on East Main Street, she knows how crazy those gang bangers are! Decent 40+ year old women stay home at night!!!

Who are you to judge anybody. You sound like another rich racist from Easton. So typical. Maybe she went out with friends to have a good time. She certainly did not deserve to be murdered for just going out. THe only person who is NOT DECENT is YOU for writing such horrible things.

That's right, she's entitled to go out for some fun regardless of her age, I'm sure her plans didn't include getting murdered. The person from Easton doesn't think its proper for a lady to be in a bar, how sexist is that?

It amazes me how poor the reading comprehension skills of a few of you guys are. Anonymous just said he/she doesn't think it's DECENT FOR A 40+ YR OLD WOMAN TO BE OUT LATE NIGHT. Also if she was a mother, then her being out at 1:00am really tells you about how much she cared for her kids.

I know what goes on out there and thats why I stay home. You go out to have good time and it always gets ruined because people don't know how to act.

Did you ever think that if she even has little kids that she might have hired a sitter? I don't see where her age even factors into this tragic scenario. She had every right to be out having some fun with her friends or date or whatever, don't be so judgemental.

Whether what her age is--she has a right to be safe!! Bottom Line..This needs to stop..everyone goes out with their friends. It does not matter where they go..you should be safe going out anywhere in this world. Please everyone stop downing the towns in CT--But get out there to make this state a safer place for our Kids, grandkids and families!!! Instead of moving from a bad so called area--get out there and correct the problems. if we stick together we all can have a nicer state.
To Maria's Family--please don't take it to heart the negative responds. Please remember her fondly and the good she has done in life!! She is someone's child, maybe mother, sister,Aunt, neighbor and friend...RIP!!
