You know everyone knows that spidermonkey hates beaulieu and has for years. he will tell you this if you ask him i'll bet but it is our fault for letting him continue to make a joke out of our city. dont vote him back in but if you do dont complain later when the city is bankrupt. As for beaulieu there human like everyone else. theyll screw ya too if the chance arises just ask uncle sam. i cant believe the major meth bust didnt shut down the beaulieu plants in bridgeport / you dont get drug tested unless you get hurt on the job / thats how bad it is.

When I worked at Beaulieu new employee's were drug tested, drug testing was done on a ramdom basic regularly as well. Many were terminated due to their drug testing results. They were given a chance at rehab, provided by the company. If tested positive ever again, they had no job. As standard procedure, of course they would test if one was injured on the job.

Spider Monkey, I have nothing to say about that. The voters put him in office, it is their responsibility to remove him. Yet they continue to let him run the show. Go figure that one!!

Randy Wilson Jr. was the only one of the 45 arrested that worked at Beaulieu, he had only been there for 5 or 6 months. Drug test are still done on a random basis but the chance at rehab is no more, who can blame them there not the ones that got them on drugs. A lot of people don’t like Beaulieu for different reasons, especially the folks that don’t want to work. Beaulieu is in business to make money which they can’t do if they were to give the city handouts. It’s not Beaulieu’s place to support the city of Bridgeport or people that don’t want to work.

I would guess that everyone who is smart enough to read this blog knows someone in the B'port area who is still doing meth. Call the police station and turn them in. My guess is that the cops already know and it isn't time to bust them yet. Collecting data takes time. We didnt know the last bust was coming and we won't know when the next one is due. They know whats happening, who's doing it, and who's in charge now that Donnie isn't. Give them time...

People who work in Bridgeport should not have to pay taxes of any kind, even income taxes. It is okay for them to pay sales taxes in Tennessee.

Beaulieu is in a financial crises. They would have to pay for each drug test not to mention the lost production from the employee's that don't come back. Its not not only at Beaulieu, its everywhere.

WHAT?!? I'm not getting into the conversation on illegals because I don't now how the company does or does not verify the right to work in the US, but to drug test those born in American with hispanic heritage is prejudice and bigotry. Beaulieu does not contribute to the drug problem in our area. I know this because I know too many employees who have successfully stopped using illegal drugs because they so valued their jobs. I think the drug problem here has more to do with the fact that there is nothing else to do and the fact that it is so readily available, even to teenagers. How do you justify blaming one company who has supported so many families for so long. They certainly didn't create the economic disaster that Bridgeport is experiencing along with the rest of the Nation.

I say what does it matter what a person does on his on time as long as he don't do drugs at work. Beaulieu is a tobacco free work place and has been for two years now and the only ones they are looking for is the smokers. What about the ones that dip, that's tobacco too and they sit in the break rooms with spit cups, think that's right.

I agree what a person does on their on time don't matter but a drug test can't tell when you done the drugs couse they stay in your system. What if someone on the job on drugs couses someone else to lose a finger or a arm or their life That would be a shame.

The employee's know which ones are doing drugs. They know the ones to stay away from.

I think drug test are done only at the request of management now by the company nurse. If they test positive for the drugs that they test for then they are sent to the doctor's office for an official drug test.

You would be suprized who is on drugs that you would thought would never be on them. You can't alway tell just by looking at them.I worked for shaw for years and i saw people get fired for drug failing the drug test that i would not beleaved they was on drugs.
