I am quite sure these were illegals in this country. I wish for them to rest in peace but am furious that they could have killed one of our citizens by their reckless act. Someone on their way to work or school could have been killed by their actions. Of course Newsday doesn't report their illegal immigration status. Oh, what a surprise.

It is amazing how chitzday can base every act a hispanic does no matter it be reckless, criminal or whatever on them working. What the hell is the difference where people are going when they are acting in a reckless manner behind the wheel of a car? This rags subtle bias against its own citizens in favor of invading illegal immoral criminals, shows the mental illness and self hatred every last writer for this company has.

Wow, Newsday goes into full "protect the illegals" mode by calmly excusing dangerous driving by portraying speeders as good workers. Do you imagine any citizen would be given a column such as this? Of course not. Taxpaying citizens who speed are bad, illegals who speed are hardworkers. Anyone else scratching their head over why Newsday's circulation is plummeting?

If Jaime and David had remained in Puebla and Veracruz Mexico, their homeland and not illegally immigrated to the USA they would still be alive today.

THE REPORTER WHO WROTE: "Gomez, a recent immigrant from Mexico, had worked at the farm one week; Gonzalez had worked there four years and either stayed there or at his girlfriend's house, Flores said." ANY SURPRISE THAT THE REPORTER--SUSANA ENRIQUEZ--LEFT OUT THE WORD ILLEGAL! Dont forget that Snoozday is an equal opportunity employer for a reason.

First God Bless.

Then why does Newsday always have such a bias on everything towards illegals. really sad that they can be so intellectually dishonest on every topic. They were speeding, reckless, no license I'm sure. No Insurance and if they plowed through a school bus stop and killed some kids because they stayed up to late?

Newsday reporters are all editorial writers. Not a single bias story ever.

Such poor reporting.

"illegal" immigrant may soon be an extinct distinction depending on the election. If our government allows unchecked "migration" as Europe has and encourages "families to be reunited (The Dream Act resurrected)," halts the recent step- up in workplace raids and allows them to have drivers licenses regardless of status--we will have the same problems that Europe has. check out www.bbc.com any day of the week and there are whole sections describing the problems with "migration," including housing shortages, crime increases, problems with whole neighborhoods not assimilating and following their own rules (one example is shaira law) instead of their new country's law and increased unemployment of natives because the "migrants" work for less. "Migrants" are also immediately eligible for the socialized medicine and welfare entitlements. Do you think it can't happen here?
