this law would essentially outlaw dog ownership

I hope none of you people enjoy going to your kids baseball of softball games
baseball and softball are the number one cause of emergency room visits
More people are murdered by baseball bats than are killed by dogs
Certainly this cannot continue
baseball is an antiquated game that has no place in current society
21st Century human beings cannot be trusted to own blunt heavy objects that can be used to bludgoen other people to death
Even though this case is not about a fatality
on average 20 people a year get killed by dogs
45,000 people a year get killed by automobiles
40% of those are alcohol related
so clearly 21st Century man is not capable of controlling such machinery and those machines need to be banned
400,000 people a year die from smoking cigarettes
ban smoking
350 people drown in their own bathtub
ban bathtubs

It's time for another Revolution when people think it is good to remove Constitutionl right of presumption of innocence
How about people should be responsible for their children
so if you have a child and that child kills himself and one of his friends in your car
than you should be imprisoned in his or her place
How does that sound Candy
maybe there should be a license or aptitutde test
if you can't pass the aptitude test you should be spayed or nuetered and not allowed to reproduce

or maybe it is time for another Revolution or Civil War in this country

Human Beings and Dogs have co-existed for 10,000 years

I hope Danielle and her Shiester father get killed in an accident on the way to court

I love how the article points a finger at Pit Bulls, when this case has nothing to do with Pit Bulls

to those who don't know who Carol Weiner is
she was the adult human being who was Danille's guardian that day and who should have set the guidelines on what is considred petting
getting in a dog's face and hugging him while he's tethered in his own territory, might be construed as an assertion of dominance by an animal, and the animal reacted because the adult human beings did not

and Danielle if this law passes
unlike your close circle of support
EVERY dog owner in America will HATE you if this law passes
I hope you pay attention to how many dogs get turned into shelter the next day and get killed
because their blood is on YOUR hands

you did something wrong too
what you did goes beyond just petting the dog
your guardian that day did not adequately protect you
did you sue her also ?
She is just as responsible for this as the dog owner

I've owned Pit Bulls for 25 years
none of my dogs has ever bit anyone
but I pay attention when people interact with my dog

Finally the day has come when dog owners are held responsible and can't just simply get away with the old cliche "my dog would never....."

And when the dog does attack the owner or other sympathizers stoop to extreme lows in their own personal and feeble attempt to justify what basically, simply and primitively amounts to nothing less than ANIMAL BEHAVIOR.

I'd say its a good time to step up to the plate dog owners and protect our children.

Like the commercial says....

COULD'VE SEEN IT COMING LIKE AN ATOM BOMB........

Between lawyers and stupid people in general this country is going down the tubes. If you are a parent and you let your child get close to a strange dog you are stupid. If you are a lawyer - well - most are the scum of the earth. I've owned dogs all my life and never had one attack someone. Another poster brought up cats - I've been scratched and bitten by people's cats....will the law apply to them also? Is it OK for a cat to come strolling in my yard to take a dump in my garden while my dog has to be leashed and kept off of other people's property?

Wow! Such animosity, vitriol, and hostility that was just conveyed by you to the world.

Its hard to believe that your Pit Bulls have so far not bitten anybody. Especially considering that it is widely believed that domestic animals, particularly of the canine variety, will mimic their master's behavior/demeanor.

I had to leave 2 parks today just because some idiots feel it's ok to have their dogs OFF THE LEASH. I was beside myself. Next time I will have a bat & pepper spray (for the owners)

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
