Feasibility survey to determine whether Port Neches gets YMCA
The city of Port Neches may get a YMCA. This after the city approached the YMCA of Southeast Texas about possibly using the old armory building located at 511 Grigsby Avenue for a new branch.

The city of Port Neches is not the best choice for a YMCA. It is only a couple of miles from the Port Arthur location and would draw the same patrons.
The new building on Major Dr. in Beaumont that was built for the YMCA (but never used) would be a better choice. It would serve a wider selection of small towns and people that are nearer Beaumont.
