Not only is our county mayor (from Oak Ridge) trying to cut our fire and rescue depts. he is trying to cut our sheriff dept. also. Mayor Iwanski is trying to cut all the services that affect the taxpayers in the rural areas of the county but not Oak Ridge.
Now our county mayor (from Oak Ridge) is cutting the sheriff dept. which will force the sheriff to lay off road patrolmen. This will cut the patrols of the rural parts of the county.
Mayor Iwanski (from Oak Ridge) wants a tax increase to pay for a new jail so it will hold prisoners from Oak Ridge. But he wants to cut our rural road patrols because it doesn't affect Oak Ridge.
This must be stopped. Our rural parts of the county need fire and police protection.
