Mayor should add the following accomplishments to his 2010 list:
1) Force police department to buy in car cameras off of ebay because the city refuses to give officers up to date tools to do their job
2) Override Chief of Polices' recommendation for a vacant sergeants position then allow the sergeant the mayor chooses to represent officers in the police union. Sergeant chosen of course was the FOP's choice and was granted in exchange for political endorsement for mayor.
3) Destroy morale in the police department by running it instead of allowing the Chief and Lieutenants to do so.
4) Allow his (mayors) buddy that now runs the IT department to blow off repairing computers in the police department.

Of course McCloud is worried about cuts coming from the state. How will he employ another crony? In fact he may need to eliminate a crony.
By the way what did he have to do with Value King locating at the old Big Bear store? I will give him credit for a Farmers Market and Community Garden. Great economic stimulus they both are. I also give him credit for a long time business Manifold and Phalor leaving Reynoldsburg to locate in Canal Winchester. They'll be adding about 60 good paying jobs on top of the ones they took there.

I don’t know enough about police department operations to challenge what was said inthe earlier posts. But as a 12-year Reynoldsburg resident, I have been pleased with the job the mayor has been doing. Under the former mayor, city government seemed to be an old boys club stuck in the 1970's or 1980's. We certainly don't need to go back to that. Now if we can only get an experienced person in the city attorney's office!

McCloud was head of the boys club when he was president of council. If you were around then you will remember that city government was in shambles because of him. Now he has his yes men on council and you don't know how bad shape the city is in.
The guy has never had a real job. Always lived off the taxpayer. Is that the experience your looking for?

Unfortunately even the former mayor while running his motorcycle shop when he should have been working looks like a workaholic compared to McCloud. When you combine that with a mayor that made the statement that if he had not been elected he would not live Reynoldsburg-well, that is truly shameful.Guess he just likes his $96,000 a year job based on 4-5 hours a day (on a good day that is)..Apparently word of his laissez faire work style has even gained the attention of the governor-elect and thus citizens of Reynoldsburg will continue to pay for this dead weight and that of the others that came from the state with him..

Taxpayer is absolutely correct. McCloud hired lazy losers fired from the state to run the city. Unlike the Governor-Elect he is a career bureaucrat and hired the same. He filled positions previously left vacant due to budget issues. Now they balance the budget with kickbacks from your electric bill.
