It appear to me that one individual is flooding this and other boards with derogatory reviews of Family Dental.

Hey Neil,
Great job on that Bone graph to a removed tooth.

I just returned from an appointment with Family Dental. VERY DISTURBING. I had called and scheduled an appointment for a check up and cleaning for both myself and my son. My son was treated quite well however my experience far from stellar. It was a quick sit in a chair-- no cleaning; Dr Kesselman came in, spoke at me and did not even look in my mouth, before he left the room. My teeth have not been cleaning, I have a filling that fell out and was not treated. I felt the entire experience was dehumanizing. What next? When I see another dentist to be treated will I have my claim denied because Family Dental already billed my insurance?

This is one shoddy Dental Office. They overcharged us for an extraction. It has been going on 9 weeks ,and still no refund and no one cares. I've call the dentist office and the corporate office with no satisfaction. So, I'm call The State Dental Board 1-800-442-8106 and then I'm calling the insurance fraud division at 1-800-697-1220. They were paid by my insurance Delta Dental and me. So they are paid "twice".
Oh, and the part about having the prophylaxis done in less than 30 minutes that is ALL true. I use to work as a dental assistant ,and that NEVER was the case where I worked. The only thing this dental office is cleaing is your wallet. Don't walk ,but RUN!!!!!

I'm 17 years old and never had a cavity up until last year. Family dental convinced me awhile back that I had a cavity in need of a filling. I came back in a little over a week for the filling and they said they couldn't find the cavity and slapped me with $100 just for a minute of the doctors time. Eventually I got a cavity that I never suspected, they blamed it on the fact that in a teenager. I got the filling for no reason and set up an appointment in 6 months for cleaning/checkup. I cea so depressed to get my 1st cavity in my perfect teeth for just over 17 years. I am an exellent brusher and I always use the most powerfull mouthwash. I came back 6months later and this is what happened: I got cleaned and got comments such as I am an amazing flosser, I have perfect teeth, there so beautiful, etc. then I got an X-ray which I don't mind and looked at my teeth and was impressed, the doctor said I had 7 cavities in between my teeth, my stomach dropped and I almost thru up, I knew this was BULLSHIT. I took a copy if the X-ray and next week I'm going to another dentist to report results and file insurgence fraud. According to Family Dental, it took me 17 years to get my first cavity and only 6 months to get 7, if I find out this guy is just trying to fill is pockets, I will do whatever it takes to get that fucker fired just like I got that Mexican chick fired for making me pay $100 for a non existing cavity.

One minute I was talking to a dentist, and the next I was hustled into the finance office. The financial person told me I needed $15,000 worth of work, and would have to pay most of it upfront. The experience was more like buying a car. In addition, they say I never paid for my last visit, even though my credit card company confirms they charged me. I shouldn't have to worry about putting myself deeply in debt to get dental care.

I am livid. I paid out of pocket to Family Dental for emergency dental work that I could not wait for my insurance company to approve. My insurance company informed me that I need to have the Dental Office request to have the reimbursement check made out to the patient rather then the dental office. I made that request. Family Dentist failed to do so. My insurance company sent a check to the Dental office on 7/30/16. The check was cashed on 8/11/16. I sent an email. I have never received a response. I have called Family Dental many times. I was told during my first conversation that I should receive a check within a week. During my second conversation I asked to speak with the accounting. I was told that the accountant is only in the Fishkill office on Mondays. I called on Monday and was told that the accountant already left for the day. That she is only in the Fishkiill office in the early morning. I asked to be connected to the accountant dept. I was told that there really isn't an accounting dept. That the accountant travels to all of their locations. Today I called and I was told that there is No Accountant. That the person that handles all of the accounting needs is the Office Manager. I was told that she is on vacation and to call back next week. I asked to speak with whom ever is handling the accounting needs while the office manager is away. I am told that there is No One handling accounting at this time. I have never heard of such Bull. A Dental Office, with multiple locations DOES NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNTING DEPT. Are you Kidding Me!!!
