***BEWARE!!!******OWNER WAS VERY INTIMIDATING AFTER WORKER DAMAGED THE SCREEN TO MY BRAND NEW 2013 TOYOTA SEQUOIA!*** I have NEVER written a BAD REVIEW BEFORE THIS!!!
Let me begin by saying that I have been looking for a good car wash for a long time. When I went to Iguanna Wanna, I was pleasantly surprised. The people were friendly & the service was good. I was so happy that I vowed to come back (from Putnam Valley). Unfortunately, the second that I got into the car I noticed a GLARING, VERY DEEP SCRATCH TO THE NAVIGATION SCREEN of my BRAND NEW SUV. I'm absolutely certain that it was not there because I just used the navigation & it was perfect. I immediately brought it to attention of the manager who told me that the scratch was there. There were at least 2 to 3 other workers in the car BEFORE & AFTER him. I told them that they are liable & the manager told me that I can fill out a report. I said ok and waited for him to get the paperwork. Now, HERE IS THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW: the OWNER tried everything in his power to INTIMIDATE ME!!! I would imagine that the workers didn't do this maliciously, and I would have just pursued the matter civilly if the owner had been a gentleman. He could have said that he didn't feel his workers were responsible and would not compensate me for the damage. I would have been ok with that, and like I said, pursued it civilly and quietly. Now I feel compelled to expose the ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL behavior of the the owner, Allen. I'm a 42 year old woman who was sitting in my car with my two children (ages 9 & 10) and their grandmother when ALLEN approached with his PHONE IN MY FACE, VIDEOTAPING and rattling something off about informing me that I am being videotaped. REALLY?!? I didn't even know who he was! After he walked away twice, I asked who he was & then he said he was the owner. He was acting as if I was a criminal. So I took out my phone and told him that I, too would be taping. He proceeded to tell me that his guys didn't scratch my navigation (as if he was there watching them) & that was the end of it. He said I will not win if I decided to pursue a civil suit & that I shouldn't even try. When I told him he should watch the way he speaks to people in this age of social media, he told me that I should watch what I write about him or be held liable. He left & came back with his phone in my face & asked me if he could see my hands. Yeah, ok! He walked away & I filled out my part of the report excluding personal information such as last name, address, and phone #. I did not feel comfortable giving that information to a person whom I felt threatened by. The manager went inside to write out his part of the form & make me a copy. Then, the owner came out again, stood in front of my car & proceeded to RIP UP THE PAPER that I filled out. He handed me another blank paper & told me to fill it out properly.(The last time that happened to me was in second grade of my Catholic school because Sister Ann felt I should have been neater!) I told him that I wouldn't give him that info & got in my car to leave when he stated taking pics or videotaping my car (reg., plate,) and people in it! To me this was simply a business matter until he tried intimidate me & upset my kids & mom! I wouldn't wish such an experience on HIS WIFE, or anyone else's. I left there SHAKING! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! All customers should do their DUE DILIGENCE and READ ALL REVIEWS on different websites...they seem to paint a very clear picture of this business.
