Danbury Hospital likely has millions of dollars in its development funds or endowments. The cost cutting is simply a way to exploit the patients who are never prepared to experience a sicklness or injury and therefore are easily victimized by the medical providers and insurance profiteers. When the public realizes that medical care in this country is all about money perhaps they will be willing to disengage the insurance and pharmaceutical companies from their lives and try a single payer system for health care (not insurance).

News flash, people: when you spend time in a building full of sick people long enough, you're gonna get sick yourself.

That's today's nugget of wisdom.

Maybe if all the homeless and all the OLD people in the City of Danbury would stop going to the hospital because they have nothing better to do with their life, the DH ER would not be overwork. Have you ever heard or scene how many people call for an ambulance because their MD say you better call the ambulance and go to the ER because they do not want to see them and it is easier to pass them off to an ER - Emergency ROOM DR. than to see them and this goes for the Nursing Homes as well. People need to stop using the ER as a place for routine medical care and use it as a true place for an EMERGENCY. Maybe then the MD would be able to spend more time with patients and the RNS would not be overworked. Everyone is an expert, if you all know so much, then diagnosis your self and STAY HOME, stop the ER abuse. And answer me this, why must the OLD people go to the hospital at 3 am for a general I have not felt good for 2 weeks, but did not want to bother you during the day.**** go to YOUR own MD and yes bother THEM, thats why they make the BIG money.
People without insurance or means to pay for a doctor have no option but the ER if they need any kind of medical attention... And if you go there you will notice it is not overrun with elderly people, it is overrun with dirty illegal immigrants, going to the ER and taking their whole god damn extended family because their baby has a cold. It is ridiculous, and ICE should start cracking down in the ER waiting room so that honest Americans can get the care that they have paid for.
