Sales of items and item views are falling to all time lows, and thousands of sellers have begun leaving ebay to set up shop at other online selling sites. What's causing this mass departure? A series of bad ebay policies that are adversely affecting sellers. A look at Discussion Board threads on ebay reveals one horror story after another of bad experiences sellers are having at ebay.

The glory days of ebay are over. It's basically run its course. Now the crumbling from within begins...

Notice other online selling sites like Bonanza and eBid are picking up steam as ebay sellers migrate to them.

Addoway is a good site. Another great online selling site is www.hulobu.com

Ebay's been in a downward spiral for quite some time now. Glad I got the hell out of there.

There's a blog on WordPress that even Stephen King would enjoy. It's just getting started, and it's called Ebay Horror Stories and it's actual bad experiences ebay sellers have had and are having at ebay. Here's the link: ebayhorrorstories.wordpress.com

Corporate ebay isn't even trying to fix any of the problems that they themselves created which are adversely impacting sellers.

Which is exactly why so many sellers are leaving ebay. The downward spiral is accelerating, as is the ebay exodus. The complaint level at ebay is escalating as well.

Are some of the behind the scenes corporate number manipulations at ebay designed to artificially inflate the perception of stock values to investors? Should there be a Senate committee investigation into ebay?

Ebay should have come under severe scrutiny a long time ago.

Maybe a lot of ebay sellers could join together in a class action lawsuit.

The new Global Shipping Program ebay is pushing so hard on sellers will prove to be a gigantic fiasco.

A major glitch erupted at ebay this morning with the departure of LiveWorld from ebay. The issue remained unresolved at the time of this writing.

A set of of bad policies were put into place at ebay starting in 2008 that have the overall effect of gradually eliminating small sellers. Among these are the disproportionate impact that low DSR ratings (1's and 2's) have upon small sellers.

Well, now that ebay China is on board, thousands of Chinese sellers are flooding ebay with cheap, shoddy, mass-produced items at rock-botttom prices deliberately undercutting American ebay sellers.

Ebay auctions are fading away as ebay caters to the high volume sellers. The day of the Mom & Pops is basically over.

One word... AMAZON. Its faster and eaiser to list on, and your items generally sell for more $ and WAAAAAYYYYYY faster than on Ebay. The drawbacks are that the fees are rather steep, and you cannot list lots, or items not in their catalog. Prices on vintage video games (thats what I sell) are SKYROCKETING on Ebay tho, so in some cases Ebay is still the choice. I feel that using Ebay AND Amazon together can get good results for the savvy seller. I buy items on Amazon and sell them on Ebay, and visa versa :)
